SLVP Tampa Interbay Rotary Golf Flyer and Sign Up 2014
Sierra Leone (the land of blood diamonds) was destroyed by a bloody rebel war from 1991 to 2002, and
remains one of the world's poorest countries. Sierra Leone is now at peace, but its infrastructure is still a
shambles. Schools, hospitals and clinics need to be rebuilt.
Sierra Leone Village Partnerships, Inc. (www.slvp.org), a U.S. non-profit charity with 501(c)(3) status
helps the smaller communities forgotten by large NGOs (Non-governmental organizations). Since 2007,
SLVP has worked directly with local leadership of villages, in partnerships providing financial aid with the
contractual understanding that the locals do the building and manage their budget. SLVP works in
tandem with these remote populations and helps them rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
The Tampa Interbay Rotary Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization of business and professional leaders
united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations,
and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
