Each school organised a Vegetarian Day in their
school, which in some schools even lasted a week!
As a part of this day, pupils prepared dishes using
fruit and vegetables, taking ideas not only from
their national cuisine, but also from the cuisines of
other European countries.
The table was dominated by fruit bowls, frittatas
and tortillas, and other healthy things.
In addition, pupils created healthy menu, took part
in activities promoting healthy plant-based
cuisine, and learnt about the health-giving
properties of fruit and vegetables.

As part of the promotion of healthy
lifestyles, schools organised a photo
competition entitled "Slow
food and junk food in your lens".
A large number of young
photographers took part in the
"battle". In each school, a winner was
selected by voting.

Of course not!
Schools organised many other interesting
initiatives to promote a healthy and active lifestyle
among the whole school community.
As additional activities, schools participated in
sports competitions, carried out outdoor sports
activities before the start of lessons, and prepared
posters on the harmfulness of stimulants.
Is that all?

One-week stay in Bulgaria
The week-long stay in Bulgaria at the partner school was very intensive. Students from
Turkey, Estonia and Poland, together with their host Bulgarian students, carried out a lot of
tasks together with one goal in mind - to improve the eating habits and increase physical
activity of the young people from the schools involved in the project.
The first day of the stay at the "St. St. Cyril & Metodius" school was marked by an extremely
warm welcome from the hosts, which will long be remembered - national and contemporary
dances and songs, a karate demonstration, a mini violin concert, a presentation of the health
pyramid are just some of the attractions provided by the school from Bulgaria. Examples of
activities carried out during the stay: sports activities; visiting a biofarm; preparing healthy
meals based on fruit and vegetables; exploring the flavours of Bulgaria; discussing the results
of a photo competition; preparing presentations on healthy living; visiting: Rila Monastery,
Sofia National Historical Museum, Kambanite Park, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Kremikov
Monastery, a visit to the Vitosha National.
Park, a meeting with representatives of district authorities, who were represented by Ms
Daniela Raycheva.
