ECSC has secured a grant and has had two years plan with activities relevant to support the national efforts. It has
now become well staffed. It has invited more members and is represented in the national nutrition coordinating body.
This representation would help the coalition to advocate more on nutrition investment and action. The coalition
managed to organize sensitization training for CSOs and media people. We have carried out various public
awareness raising activities on key nutrition issues. We have used the local media widely for this. We have given
technical and other supports to the MoH for nutrition related activities; We have reviewed policies and practices of
four sector ministries (MoA, MoE, MoWIE, MoWCYA) for policy input and practice.

The Alliance irrespective of the governing laws nationally, has managed to bring together both international and national CSOs
into an alliance by initiating Memorandums of Understandings with International NGOs. To us, this is a key achievement and
shareable as everyone is on board to scale up nutrition without bletch of national laws. Good governance
