  3. 3. Why do you write each type? Do they share common features? Are they different in some aspects?
  4. 4. At work, keep in mind that no one wants to read anything you write. Most of the time they will not read all of what you write. They will read because they need to, not because they want to. They will read because you have information they need to take actions or make decisions. They don’t get paid to read: they get paid to take actions and make decisions. The more time they need to read your document, the less productive time they have. Make sure everything you write is clear, correct, necessary, and polite. And never assume that anything you write is confidential. Modern organizations must keep their information secure, whether it exists in paper or virtual form. Organizations that lose information to cyber thieves often face severe consequences.
  5. 5. Document Design  Whatever documents you are writing, they represent your professionalism and they are considered a reflection of your efficiency. Therefore, you will be introduced to the most effective ways to make your document good and acceptable.  When a document is well designed, readers understand the information more quickly and easily and consequently feel more positive about the topic and more accepting of its message.  What is document design? Document design is the process of choosing how to present all the basic document elements, so your document's message is clear and effective.

Types of documents  Documents can be designed specifically as  print publications (a flier, newsletter, newspaper, brochure, or any handout)  as digital media  A PDF (Portable Document Format) can be both print or digital.  Regardless of the form, the document development process remains the same
  7. 7. What a student of Business Communications needs to be mindful of 1. Font: Font size and type affects how it is easy to read 2. Visuals: People notice the visual chaos, and it is stressful and Distracting to The brain which is trying to figure out what the message is.

  13. 13. Other tips to take into consideration 1. If you are going to list items, introduce the list with a sentence. Example: In japan, we ate the following food:  Sushi  Rice  Tempura 2. Use parallel structure. 3. Take care of punctuation 4. Use attractive and bold headings. 5. Charts, graphs and tables are a great way of presenting a lot of information in a format that is easier to read than a paragraph or text.

Accessibility sometimes refers to the characteristic that products, services, and facilities can be independently used by people with a variety of disabilities.
