DESCRIP TION OF THE PROJECT
Project summary: EDW - HE Data Migration project is to develop a detailed approach to source VSAM data
directly to the EDW base model. The subject areas include Claims, Membership, Plan, Coverage, Provider and
Chart of Accounts.
Data from the source systems will be extracted in the form binary VSAM files, which will be pushed to the
designated UNIX server and staged to oracle database before we convert data segments.It will be processed by 2
phase,first we do history data conversion and second is Change Data Capture Process for incremental Data Load.
Responsibilities:
 Developing Informatica mappings and workflows for extracts and feeds.Data is extracted through mappings
from different sources like Relational database tables,VSAM files, etc
 Involved in writing UNIX shell scripting for moving the mainframe vsam file land zone to informatica source
folders.
 Met Business demands by having direct client interactions, resource management, requirements gathering,
analysis, design,development, change control and Implementation.

The goal of the project is to provide design and data solutions to the various projects that are
undertaken by the Enterprise Data Solutions & Services (EDSS) team. The tasks carried out in this

Cycle. The work involves a lot of interaction with the Business Users and analysis of the requirements in

Mentor Graphics is a leading supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) products and

There are a total of 16 DataMart out which 9 are being designed and maintained by us. Also, we are
working on migrating Sagent ETL jobs to Informatica Power center. The reporting tool used is Business
Objects and dashboarding tool used is QlikView with backend as Oracle. The DataMart source data from
several operational systems like Siebel for Customer Support data, Installed item details from Install base
(Ebase), SAP ECC for Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Product Pricing and Master data.

to NBRIC2 to get the suitable data in new data model.

doing a Certification are handled in this project. In this project there are seven modules like Admin, Access,
Candidate, Warehouse, CSR and Inquiry, fee-processing, Renewal and Scoring.
