Perdition
As you can see I have
experimented with different fonts
and used the ones that I want to
use in my final project, the top
three are probably my favorite. As
they are not too overwhelming
like the rest, which is important
not to overwhelm my viewers.
As you can see I Have experimented
with some colors, specifically red,
green, blue and orange. These are
definitely some of the colors I want to
use but the bright colors like orange
and green probably won’t get used as
for my horror theme it won’t really fit
in with being bright. I want my colors
to be dark and mysterious as I think
this will best suit my game.
As you clearly see from these
designs I have experimented with
these designs and seen if I want
them in my game. As shown I
have gathered pictures of trees, a
factory and a ghost. These
examples are things I want for my
game. For example the factory
would be a great idea for a dark
creepy setting and the certain
type of tree could represent a
kind of creepiness. The ghost
really speaks for itself in terms of
what its being used for. Perhaps
when making the ghost/monster
image I will try and make it a lot
more creepy and scary as this
particular image isn’t really that
scary to feature in my product.
3. Layout 1
This sketched designed shows the title of my final product as I believe it’s a very fitting name for a horror
based game. The title I think will suit the game as the title suggests what I want my game to imply. The
title perdition means ‘a state of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and impenitent
person passes after death’. Which is what my game should represent and what I feel the character
should go through a Permanente punishment. The actual title of the game will be in actual color instead
of just plain white, as the title of the game has to be in aerie dark, black creepy color. This color will be
best suited for my game because it follows the horror theme that I’m going for and interested going for.
4. Layout 2
These screenshots show what the kind of design I want my
background to look like and how the layout of them should look
like. The first two are probably the best at representing this as
they are less complex to achieve whilst operating on
Photoshop. The design process behind the first I think is really
cool, seeing as it’s a 16 bit design, the way the guy is portrayed
and made is cool and I feel as if I should model my guy towards
him.
The middle picture’s background is a eerie creepy background
which is a interesting cool shade of purple that may be
incorporated into my game but it may be hard to do and
achieve. The last image I wanted to show was that of Slender,
as I want my monster in my game to be built up around him as
he and monsters in general make up these indie horror games.
6. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
One potential issue is that if I don’t finish my
final design in time then I’ll have to leave it half
finished.
A solution to this is get on with my work and
focus until I get it finished on time.
Another potential issue could be my design
isn’t up to my normal working potential,
therefore degrading me off a good mark.
A solution to this is to produce my best
possible work all the time and spend any free
time improving.
A potential issue could also be that I get ill
therefore I can’t work and finish any of my
work.
A solution to this would be to catch up when I
get better and work through any frees I might
have.
A issue could also be my time management,
making sure that I manage each section of my
presentation well.
A definite solution to this would be to produce
a plan, for example spend a lesson per slide.
A potential issue is not concentrating and
getting distracted with my work and not
finishing it.
A solution to this would be to focus and get on
with it and ignore any distractions.
7. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Back trouble Seat properly in a chair, use or ask for a more
comfortable chair to support your back even
more.
Eye strain Take frequent breaks and don’t stare at the
screen for too long.
Wrist aching Have a 5 minute rest, to stretch out your wrist.
Legs aching Give yourself a couple of minutes to stand up
and stretch them about.
Bum goes numb A lot like the legs stand up and stretch off to
ease the pain.
8. Schedule
Day Plan of Action Resources Required
Day 1 Name the photoshop product and start it up. Adobe photoshop
Day 2 Start researching pictures and finding suitable
images for the design
Internet
Day 3 Start incorporating the images onto the piece
of work.
Adobe photoshop
Day 4 Start drawing the ghosts and the people of
my game.
Adobe photoshop
Day 5 Once drawn I will then start drawing the
background of my product and making little
scary things.
Adobe photoshop
Day 6 Once that is finished I will start on my
animations for each character that is going to
made.
Adobe Photoshop
Day 7 I will make each animation different for each
character so it makes the game look more
realistic as the characters will have different
moves.
Adobe photoshop
Day 8 Once finished my game will be finished ready Adobe photoshop
