What’s cooking?
How many ways of cooking do you know? Match the verbs and their definitions.

1. Bake

Swiss Chicken & Broccoli Casserole
Ingredients (serves 6)

tablespoons of butter
boneless skinless chicken breasts
tablespoon of onions, finely chopped
teaspoon of lemon juice
cup of sliced mushrooms
tablespoons of flour
cups of milk
teaspoon of thyme
teaspoon of basil
teaspoon of pepper
teaspoon of salt
cup Swiss of cheese, grated
cups of broccoli, boiled 2 minutes
cups of pasta

Directions

1. Cook the pasta according to package. Drain well and ……………….. lightly to prevent
sticking. Set aside.

3. In a large frying pan, heat 6 tbsp of butter. Add the onions and the chicken pieces.
Cook just until it turns white, then turn and cook the other side.
