  7. 7. skip When the letter before the last letter is a short vowel, we double the last letter and add ing. + ing  skipping p run + ing  running n a, e, i, o, u He is …ing.
  8. 8. What can we say when we want to talk about a girl’s action? Sometimes we delete the e at the end before we add ing. When do we do this? A : B : What is she doing? She is dancing. She is …ing.
  9. 9. dance When the last letter of the word is e, we take it away and add ing. + ing  dancing skate + ing  skating She is …ing.
  10. 10. Now we know we can use He / She is … to talk about another person’s action. She is riding a bicycle. What if there is more than one girl riding a bicycle? They are They are …ing. We use They + are + …ing to talk about what two or more people are doing. They are riding a bicycle.
