Why Robotics?
Robot assisted surgery increases the applied dexterity and accuracy of the surgeon
because of the following advantages:
• The surgeon’s hand motion is scaled so large movements results in small instrument motion
• Hand tremor can be filtered out
• The surgeon controls his or her own camera
