W
e, the millennial
generation were once
told that food, clothing
and shelter are the basic necessities.
But, through time, we’ve witnessed
these necessities evolving and
today, our survival demands things
and surroundings that help in
making human life safer, healthier
and better.
Education being the most prominent
among these necessities, has
undergone a revolution in the
recent years. The following
generation of young learners exhibit
innate qualities of curiosity,
immersive learning, and an
inclination towards exploring their
potential in multiple disciplines of
education.
In accordance with this change in
learning preferences and interests,
schools and educational institutions
across the globe have refurbished
curriculums, infrastructures and
teaching approaches. This change,
and the efforts taken by the schools
to adapt to it, ensures a bright
future for the young learners.
Pertaining to this, we at The
knowledge Review have been on an
endeavour to seek and exhibit

Both Ajit and Fatema Agarkar, have
close to two decades of experience

legendary Late Ramakant Achrekar
Ji, Ajit brings his sense of discipline,

Having made his way through the
ranks over Giles, Harris Shield
cricket, junior leagues and later
Ranji Trophy, Under 19 and India A
tours, Ajit has a deep understanding
of how to mentor students and

the helm of ACE. She has set up

currently on several Advisory

Foundation, Ray Foundation and a

She is also the Vice President of
the Early Childhood Association
(ECA) and Mumbai Territory
Head for APER (Association for

founders express. The institute
believes that owners and school

Since last few years, technology has been

Par cularly, the digital era, has disrupted
and improved various segments of the economy.

Technology has lead to the incep on digital

Educa on technology or EdTech has the power to
create efficiencies, cut costs, and change the
tradi onal architecture of educa on. The
educa on sector is seen to be one of the under-
served segments with numerous technological
opportuni es.
EdTech doesn’t necessarily mean digital books,
virtual classrooms, etc. it also means change in
the ways and methods of teaching. Easy access to
educa on at the remotest place on the face of
Earth is the main mo ve of combining educa on
with technology. In the coming years, various
technological improvements will be seen in the
educa on domain. Here are a few EdTech trends
to expect in the years to come:
Internet of Things
The modern educa on holds tremendous
opportuni es for Internet of Things (IoT). It has

through a virtual environment. While it includes
obvious devices like computers, tablets, and
smartphones, it also includes the next genera on

facili es are unique and difficult to hack. This technology is embraced by the higher educa on
sector as a lot of case studies have emerged for the usage of blockchain in the educa on sector.
Student data sharing between universi es during transfers, scholarships, exchange programs,
etc. is made simple and has immense opportuni es in this sector. Blockchain will be at a boom
during placements among the recruiters when they have to receive student academic data
from the educa onal ins tu ons.
Chatbots
Chatbots understand user inten ons and respond to human conversa ons. It has the poten al
to save costs and administra ve expenses. It helps resolve queries of visitors in an instant basis

The next-gen trend in the educa on system is Immersive Learning. It involves learning in an

with the rise of Augment Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) into the ed-tech learning. The
