Contents are the King with Changing Time, PR Play Spin Doctor Role says Mr Umat

Ahmedabad, August 22, 2012: “Study top 20 media brands and take any of the brand randomly
or selectively, contents are the king with changing time and it will be forever” says Mr. Ajay
Umat, Senior Editor, Times of India, Ahmedabad edition in a programme organized by Public
Relations Society of India, Ahmedabad chapter on the subject ‘Media and Public Relations’.

Mr. Ajay Umat who was associated as state head editor with Divya Bhaskar prior to join Times
of India, Ahmedabad. He delivered his views, thoughts and experiences to the august gathering
on various aspects of journalism, current media scenario and its present functional style and
future of media and public Relations. He addressed that now it’s the time of e-journalism
considering Hamlet’s Blackberry theory of ‘Why Paper is Eternal?’

He remarked that, “In, life the biggest risk is, not to take the risk in life and I have taken risks in
life for progress and to learn something and learning as a student” which was admired the most
and it was very much inspiring to the youth and public relations professionals. He also discussed
about 30 challenges which will arise in front of media and in Public Relations arena in time
ahead.

In his address he added that Nation is growing faster with the use of internet day-by-day and
pointed out its rapid growth where mobile, newspaper and other communication tools had took
years to reach. News media now have to focus on why along with what first which insist that
future will be more for reader’s driven content demand, visual journalist will lead the media
industries and innovations will play a key role in sustainable and dynamics of mass media
growth.

By ending with remarkable note and suggesting the future of public relations Mr. Umat said that,
‘Every professional must consider public relations a strong tool.”

On this occasion, Mr. Unmesh Dixit,(National Vice-President -West Zone of PRSI, Mr. Dillip
Chauhan, Chairman, Mr. R.K. Singh, Secretary, PRSI, Ahmedabad Chapter and all media as
well as PR fraternity were present .
