1. The Data Scientist is a Direct Hire position in the areas of data-driven prognostics, data
science, analytics, data mining, and machine learning.

Responsibilities:
• Proc essing large multivariate data collected from equipment operations, manufacturing
tests, and diagnostic routines
• Developing diagnostic features based on engineering knowledge of failure mec hanisms
• Perform statistic al feature selec tion and feature extrac tion
• Applying engineering knowledge in developing data-driven algorithms for anomaly
detection, failure prediction, and optimization
• Computational modeling of systems with unknown physic s using historic al data
• Collaborating in a team of field engineers and product engineers to identify key monitoring
parameters of a system
• Developing proc edures for c ollec ting data from equipment
Required Skills:
• A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in c omputer sc ienc e, mec hanic al engineering,
electrical engineering, or similar disciplines
• Thesis or researc h experienc e in topic s related to predic tive analytic s suc h as data mining,
pattern recognition, image processing, data-driven prognostics, fault diagnostics, and
machine learning
• Strong bac kground in the fundamentals of probability and statistics (e.g.
probability/statistics course of 400 university level or above)
• Advanc ed working knowledge and experienc e with mac hine learning algorithms (e.g.
decision tree, clustering, neural network, SVM, nearest neighbor), NLP is a plus
• Experienc e in proc essing data from field or experiments is preferred
• Advanc ed in prototyping algorithms with Matlab, Python, or R
