1. Paris Hilton: Dubai girls are amazing

Dubai ladies, Paris Hilton, is in love with your fashion! Paris – a model, businesswoman,
writer, and now a DJ – recently came to Dubai to showcase her skills behind the turntables
at Cavalli Club. Despite all the hate she has gotten, multi-talented Paris is just having a
good time! YP had a quick chat with her hours before her gig. She gave us some fashion
tips and expressed her opinions of Miley! Let’s hear what she said.

2. You came to Dubai a couple of times before; tell us about your experience.
I think it’s such a magical place. There’s so much to do. I love the energy here and I love
the people. There’s nowhere like Dubai in the world. It’s very unique.
What’s your favorite place in Dubai?
I love one and only- The Palm Hotel. I think the villa is just incredible and something to die
for. I love the indoor skiing at Mall of the Emirates, and Atlantis Hotel where I get to swim
with the dolphins. Shopping at Dubai Mall is one of my favorite things as well because it’s so
beautiful! I love Middle Eastern food so all the restaurants here are good.
You’re here in Dubai to throw a DJ party, so how did you get into DJing?
It was actually through my friend, DJ AM, who taught me how to DJ ten years ago. Over the
past two and a half years, I’ve been training with DJ instructors in LA every single day and
been studying this art.
And why did you decide to get into DJing?
I think DJing is something fun to do with all the energy around you in the room and the
crazy lights going with the music. I sometimes even get to play my own songs, so it gives
me the chance to do more than one thing I love at the same time.
Do you think you achieved success in this field?
Definitely, yes. My show at Ibiza this summer, for example, was incredible. I played to
around 10,000 people every night and the show had an over-capacity each week. The
owner of the club was actually very pleased and said my performance gave him the most
successful night of the week. He also hired me to play next summer at all his properties, so
I’m feeling very blessed.
So what’s your favorite dance hit?
Umm, I really love the song Animals for Martin Garrix, that’s a really amazing song and the
beat is just insane. And I love the song I love It by Icona Pop with Tiesto Remix and
anything by Avicci.
Who’s your favorite singer?
I love Katy Perry; all her songs are always great and fun to sing along to. Madonna as well
is a great artist.

3. Tell us more about your upcoming album, how is it going to be different?
My new single Good Time just came out. It’s released by Afro Jack and featuring Lil Wayne,
so it’s very idiom-influenced. My next singles will be with Snoop Dog, Flo Rida and some
other surprise guests. I just want it to be a fun, energetic album that you can dance to. I
was really inspired by my time in Ibiza, just DJing every night and listening to all this
music; it just really inspired my choice for this album.
You’re now concentrating on your singing career, how about acting? Will you ever
get back to reality TV once again?
I get calls every single day and my agents are getting offers from different production
companies for different shows, but I’ve said no to everything because nothing really
interested me. I’m really focused on my business, brand and work right now so I don’t
really have time for it. If something very interesting comes along, then maybe I’ll think
about it but for now, no.
What do you prefer? Acting, designing or singing?
My favorite is being a businesswoman. I love running my own company and being
successful, it just makes me feel proud. Music is also my passion; it’s something I really
enjoy.
What do you think makes a successful businesswoman?
I think it’s all about being confident, believing in yourself, working hard, having the right
people around you and just being very true to your brand.
So what are your future plans?
I’m about to launch my 16th fragrance and I’ll be opening more stores around the world.
Since you have businesses all over the world, do you think designing for the
Middle East differs from the West?
Yes, definitely. I’m always very inspired when I come here because the girls here know how
to dress. They’re always very elegant and dressed in bright colors and sparkles. So when
I’m designing for this part of the world, I always take that into consideration. I just love
their fashion!
How’s Dubai fashion different from the US?

4. It’s pretty different. It’s definitely more elegant and classy here. In the States, people love
to show more skin and sometimes it’s a little bit trashier. I think here it seems like
everybody wants to be glamorous.
Do you have a basic fashion tip for this winter?
I think it’s all about accessories! A handbag always makes a good outfit and also
sunglasses.
Speaking of fashion, why did you dress as Miley Cyrus this Halloween?
I just thought it’d be funny. It’s always fun to do something that’s hilarious in Halloween
and I just thought that costume was so cute and… I don’t know! I just thought it’d be fun.
What do you think about Miley’s recent actions?
I think she’s young and she’s just having fun. She’s an artist, so people should see that
she’s just acting and doing something for her art.
