New York, and San Francisco, as well as produces other smaller events (fundraising bike rides, receptions, rallies, marches,
press conferences, and more).

Direct AIDS Walk New York, the largest single day AIDS fundraising event in the world, featuring 40,000
participants, 2,500 volunteers, and raising over $5 Million per year.
Design and develop marketing materials and web content. Research, initiate, and manage outdoor advertising
campaigns that require extensive street banner placements, multiple transit ads, kiosk ads, and billboards.
Cultivate relationships with executive-level staff at benefiting organizations, and with clients.
Coordinate event logistics with event site and city law enforcement officials.
Represent the events on television, radio, in print media, and at donor and participant receptions. Serve as emcee
of receptions and events.
Hire, train, manage, and successfully motivate a diverse staff of 30 on each event, as well as hundreds of
volunteers. Evaluate and mentor employees, and successfully lead weekly progress/collaborative meetings.
Monitor event progress using statistical analysis and adjust strategy as necessary.
Drastically and creatively reduced spending when I took over position , including an $86K cost reduction for AIDS
Walk LA in 2010 and a $75K reduction for AIDS Walk NY 2011.
NATIONAL MANAGER OF FUNDRAISING (2007 – 2010)
Hired, trained, and managed a team of 20 to 35 employees, including a staff of six in each of three cities (LA, NY, SF), to
cultivate increased revenue from high fundraisers and increase corporate and community group involvement. Designed,
edited, and approved all printed materials and content for the website, mailings and newsletters.
Oversaw all day-of-event logistics for team meeting and registration area for 20,000-40,000 team participants in
LA, NY, SF, including park set-up, photography and videography, and the orientation and supervision of 70
volunteers.
TEAMS AND TARGETED FUNDRAISING DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR, AIDS WALK LOS ANGELES (2004 –
2007)
Responsible for overseeing all fundraising and outreach for teams and individual high fundraisers (Star Walkers).
Introduced strategic planning initiatives for bulk mailings, registration, and day-of-event preparation to lower
costs and increase efficiency.
Secured a wide variety of in-kind donations to serve as Team fundraising incentives.
Hosted a series of nine meetings, workshops, and receptions for team leaders, team members, and high
fundraising walkers (“Star Walkers”), along with numerous on-site presentations to educate, motivate and plan
team fundraising events.
Increased Team and Star Walker fundraising by more than $300,000 from the previous year, bringing the total
