We have joined other fellow Go users at GoLang meetup Prague. Here is slide-deck for our short lightning talk.

• Subscription Video on Demand streaming platform
• Currently operating in Sub-Saharan Africa
• Headquarters in Amsterdam
• Research and Innovation team in Beroun
• Engineering team will be in Prague soon
• Operations office in Johannesburg
What is ShowMax

• eventproxy
• high performance event acquisition from end-devices
• sanitization of messages, adding metadata and pushing messages to logging infrastructure
• socket2amqp / syslog2socket / journal2socket
• entry points into logging infrastructure for all apps / services
• coreosmon
• monitoring health of CoreOS nodes
• dockerports
• service discovery for Docker containers running on CoreOS cluster -> etcd
• varnishetcd
• configures backends in Varnish based on information in etcd (updated by dockerports)
• http-router
• content location discovery and request router for CDN storage nodes
