3. Employer HEWLETT-PACKARD Enterprise
Project Duration Oct 1 2014 till date
Role Team member
Cloud OS HP Helion, Wind River Titanium server, Redhat OpenStack
Hypervisor Used KVM
Project Description:
NFV focuses on optimizing the network services by decoupling the network functions from
proprietary hardware appliances, so that they run in software to accelerate service innovation and
provisioning. The focus is to showcase and enhance the NFV solution provided by HP using various
HP products like HP Helion OpenStack, NFV-D orchestrator (MANO component) etc.
HCG is a carrier-grade distribution of OpenStack. HP Helion OpenStack Carrier Grade provides
communications service providers (CSPs) with an open source based cloud platform that meets their
demanding reliability requirements. HP Helion carrier grade cloud contains two regions/clouds
Business to Business cloud (B2B):
B2B cloud is used for deploying normal business applications where a certain amount of latency is
not an issue
Wind River cloud:
Wind River cloud is used to deploy applications which require carrier grade features like
SRIOV, CPU pinning etc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Deploying and configuring OpenStack based HP solution using Tripleo and ansible.
Integrating different partner VNFs to demonstrate service chaining.
Hosting demos showcasing the role of SDN and NFV in service chaining
Involved in discussing the demo use cases with different partners of HP like 6Wind,
Brocade, Intel, WindRiver, PaloAltoNetworks e.t.c. who provide VNFs.
Validating partner VNFs on HP Helion Cloud / NFV platform
Automating the installation of B2B installation using Ansible.
Providing solutions to VNF owners to deploy/integrate their respective VNF’s in HP Helion
OpenStack Cloud / NFV platform.
Deploying VNF’s in RHEL OSP 8
Working knowledge of NFV Architecture
4. Project Title: Ericsson Cloud Catalog
Role Developer
Client Ericsson
Employer TATA Consultancy Services
Project Duration Sep 2012 – Oct 2014
Cloud OS OpenStack
Hypervisor Used KVM
Project Description:
The OpenStack deployment has no support for OVF package. This project enables the
Ericsson customers to deploy an OVA package in OpenStack cloud environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Developed a new openstack service named “ovft” which takes ova as input, parses the
included ovf, uploads the included images onto glance, creates the provided networks,
generates a yaml (Heat orchestration template) and provides it to heat for deployment
on to the required networks.
Implemented the RPC part of the OVFT service which converts the OVF file to a HOT
template
Implemented the REST API support in OVFT service
Created a standalone desktop application to support the creation of OVF file with 2.0
standards
Project Name: TCS Next Generation R&D

product. This is an internal project of TCS to build competency in open stack area. I have
mainly worked in solving open Stack bugs and working on POCs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Have knowledge on configuring Customized OpenStack to include an additional panel for
user inputs so as to generate OVF (Open virtualization format) descriptor file.
• Installing and configuring OpenStack components on different flavors of Linux like
fedora, Ubuntu. (using deployment methods like devStack, packStack and manual
method )
• Fixed multiple bugs from OpenStack launch pad. The bugs are mainly from nova and
