 The Bombay Stock Exchange is an Indian stock exchange located at
Dalal Street, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
 Established in 1875 the BSE is considered to be one of Asia’s fastest

(B) Shri Rangnathaswamy Temple Gopuram
 It is one of the most illustrious Vaishnava temples in South India rich in
legend and history.
 Its location, on an island in Cauvery river, has rendered it vulnerable to natural
disasters as well as the rampaging of invading armies – Muslim and European .
 Srirangam temple is often listed as the largest functioning Hindu temple in the
world, the still larger Angkor Wat being the largest existing temple.
 The temple occupies an area of 156 acres (631,000 m²) with a perimeter of
4,116m (10,710 feet) making it the largest temple in India and one of the largest
religious complexes in the world.
(C) UB City
UB City is the biggest luxury commercial property project in Bangalore,

(D) Eros Theatre, Mumbai
1. This is one of the oldest cinemas in Mumbai. Its construction work
started in 1935 and completed in 1938.
2. The cinema inside and outside architecture is beautiful. The outside
structure of the building is partially covered with red stones from Agra
and the rest is painted in cream colour
3. The Eros Cinema opened in February 1938.
4. It was designed by architect Sorabji Keikhushru Bhedwar with internal
decorations by Fritz von Dreiberg.
5. The Eros was one of Mumbai’s (Bombay) luxury cinemas and remains
a popular cinema today.

It is located across the street from the Jing'an Temple Station on Shanghai Metro Lines 2

lines and contemporary design elegance
are combined as a singular, sculptural
form rising from a richly landscaped plaza.
It is the 52nd-tallest building in the World.
The Wheelock Square building has
58 floors, and just over 100,000 sqm

(B) Bank of China Tower
Location:- The building is located at 1Garden Road in Central and Western
District on Hong Kong Island.
Brief Description:-
70-storey office building opened in 1990, with a construction inspired by the
structure of bamboo.
Designed by I. M. Pei and L.C Pei.
The building is 315.0 m (1,033.5 ft) high with two masts reaching 367.4 m
(1,205.4 ft) high.
It was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989 to 1992, and it
was the first building outside North America to break the 305 m (1,000 ft)
mark.
(C) Dingzhou Liaodi Pagoda 3
It is the tallest existing pre-modern Chinese pagoda, built in the
11th century during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The pagoda
stands at a height of 84 metres (276 ft), resting on a large
platform with an octagonal base.
The earliest base-structure type for Chinese pagodas were
square-base and circular-base. The highest Chinese pagoda from
the pre-modern age is the Liaodi Pagoda of Kaiyuan Monastery.
Standing at 67.31 meters tall with a base diameter of 30.27
meters, this pagoda totally weighs about 7400 metric tons. It is
30 meters higher than the White Pagoda in Beijing's Beihai
Park, and about 3 meters higher than the Big Wild Goose
Pagoda in Xian.
In addition to religious use, since ancient times
Chinese pagodas have been praised for the spectacular views
which they offer, and many famous poems in Chinese
history attest to the joy of scaling pagodas.
(D) Shuanglin Iron Tower
Location:-
Located in the Shuanglin Temple at the foot of Yunhuang Mountain, the
Shuanglin Iron Tower was built during Post Zhou Dynasty (952) by Zhu
Hongji.
Brief Description :-
Originally, there are two 5-layer octagonal iron towers in the shape of
pavilion. However, it’s a pity that one of the towers has been destroyed by the
warfare.
The one reserved tower is about 2.15 meters high with two layers and
surrounded by octahedral iron fences.
Some vivid wildlife, Buddhist figures, flowers, water wave and other
patterns are casted on the tower body. However, some parts have been
corroded already.

In Egypt
(A)Luxor Temple
Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple
complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in
Egypt.
Luxor Temple is Founded
in 1400 BCE. And Known
in the Egyptian Language
as ipet resyt, or
"the southern sanctuary".
To the rear of the temple are chapels builtby Tuthmosis III and
Alexander.
The Luxor temple was built with sandstone from the Gebel el-
Silsila area, which is located in south-western Egypt.
Like other Egyptian structures a common technique used was
symbolism, or illusionism.
At the Luxor temple, the two obelisks flanking the entrance
were not the same height, but they created the illusion that they
were.
With the layout of the temple they appear to be of equal height,
but using illusionism, it enhances the relative distances hence
making them look the same size to the wall behind it.
(B) The Temple of Philae
Location:-
The Temple of Philae is located on the island of Agilka near the first cataract
(shallow white water rapids) on the River Nile.
Brief Description:-
The Temple of Philae is dedicated primarily to the Egyptian Goddess, Isis,
although her consort Osiris and her son Horus were also worshipped there.
Philae has also been a seat of the Christian faith.
Today, the Temple is reached by boat, and visitors can gain an indication of its
layout even prior to landing.
The well preserved rectangular building containing fourteen columns with floral
capitals is known as Trajan’s Kiosk being attributed as being built by the Roman
Emperor Trajan
Two of the walls are decorated with images of Trajan making offerings to Isis,
Osiris and Horus
Philae was a site of great importance not only to the Ancient Egyptians, but
also to the Greeks and Romans and is today a major tourist attraction and a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
(C) Hotel Grand Nile Tower, Cairo Egypt

Located on the island of Pharos in Alexandria Egypt.
The Lighthouse of Alexandria (Pharos) was a tower built in the third
century B.C.E. (between 285 and 247 B.C.E.)
Founded by Alexander the Great it was home to a significant number
of Greeks and Jews.
It was renowned throughout the ancient world as an international center of
culture and learning.
The Lighthouse of Alexandria was initially built as a landmark—not an
actual lighthouse—and was known by the name of the island on which it
was located: Pharos.
(E) Mohammad-Ali-Mosque
The great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha or Alabaster Mosque
is a mosque situated in the Citadel of Cairo in Egypt and
commissioned by Muhammad Ali Pasha between 1830 and 1848.

Situated on the summit of the citadel, this Ottoman mosque, the largest to be
built in the first half of the 19th century.
The mosque was built in memory of Tusun Pasha, Muhammad Ali's oldest son,
who died in 1816.
This great mosque, is one of the landmarks and tourist attractions of Cairo and
is one of the first features to be seen when approaching the city from no matter
which side.
The mosque was built with a central dome surrounded by four small and four
semicircular domes. It was constructed in a square plan and measured 41x41
meters.
The central dome is 21 meters in diameter and the height of the building is 52
meters.
Two elegant cylindrical minarets of Turkish type with two balconies and
conical caps are situated on the western side of the mosque, and rise to 82
meters.

(A)Tours Societe Generale
Location
Société Générale Twin Towers are two office skyscrapers
located in La Défense, a high-rise business district,
and in Nanterre, France, west of Paris.
Brief Description:-
The towers were built and opened in 1995 to become the
head office of the Société Générale, one of France's largest
banking groups.
Before the twin towers were constructed, Société Générale's
headquarters were located in Paris.
The roof and structural height of both towers is at 167 m
(548 ft) above ground.
The towers were the tallest skyscrapers built in La Défense
since the Tour Total in 1985.
The northern tower is named tour Alicante and the southern
one tour Chassagne.
In its interior design, Chassagne is decorated with white stone
from the village ofChassagne in Auvergne, whereas Alicante is
decorated with red marble from Alicante in Spain.

It forms part of the Oxygen Project,

Rising to 115 m high and with 80% glass
area, the tower is smaller than its close
neighbor, the Part-Dieu tower (165
meters at the top of the pyramid), but
dominates the Swiss Tower (82 meters)
which directly faces.
The tower contains eighty workstations
per tray of 1,000 m² each located on
twenty-eight floors served by seven lifts.
On May 4, 2010, the new mall reached
15 000m ² with 25 new shops
(D) Tour Majunga
Located in La Défense, near Paris, in France.
It reached a height of 193.05 metres in January 2014 and
became the third tallest skypscraper in France, after First
and Montparnasse.
It is the third tallest skypscraper in France, after First
(231m) and Montparnasse (210m).

Location: La Défense, France
The Tour Carpe Diem is a 162-metre tall skyscraper in the La Défense
business district, near Paris in France. Completed in 2013, it is located in
the municipality of Courbevoie and is used for offices.
A monumental stair descends from the building's winter garden and lobby
to a public plaza on the Boulevard Circulaire, where a second front
welcomes visitors at what was heretofore the back of the site.
Tour Carpe Diem's pure form and faceted facades allow the tower to stand
out in a thicket of tall buildings in La Défense.

  • 5.  It is one of the most illustrious Vaishnava temples in South India rich in legend and history.  Its location, on an island in Cauvery river, has rendered it vulnerable to natural disasters as well as the rampaging of invading armies – Muslim and European .  Srirangam temple is often listed as the largest functioning Hindu temple in the world, the still larger Angkor Wat being the largest existing temple.  The temple occupies an area of 156 acres (631,000 m²) with a perimeter of 4,116m (10,710 feet) making it the largest temple in India and one of the largest religious complexes in the world.

The cinema inside and outside architecture is beautiful. The outside structure of the building is partially covered with red stones from Agra and the rest is painted in cream colour 3. The Eros Cinema opened in February 1938. 4. It was designed by architect Sorabji Keikhushru Bhedwar with internal decorations by Fritz von Dreiberg. 5. The Eros was one of Mumbai’s (Bombay) luxury cinemas and remains a popular cinema today.

It is located across the street from the Jing'an Temple Station on Shanghai Metro Lines 2 and 7.

It is the 52nd-tallest building in the World. The Wheelock Square building has 58 floors, and just over 100,000 sqm of prime office space.
  • 14. (B) Bank of China Tower Location:- The building is located at 1Garden Road in Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. Brief Description:- 70-storey office building opened in 1990, with a construction inspired by the structure of bamboo. Designed by I. M. Pei and L.C Pei. The building is 315.0 m (1,033.5 ft) high with two masts reaching 367.4 m (1,205.4 ft) high. It was the tallest building in Hong Kong and Asia from 1989 to 1992, and it was the first building outside North America to break the 305 m (1,000 ft) mark.

  • 16. (C) Dingzhou Liaodi Pagoda 3 It is the tallest existing pre-modern Chinese pagoda, built in the 11th century during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). The pagoda stands at a height of 84 metres (276 ft), resting on a large platform with an octagonal base.
  • 17. The earliest base-structure type for Chinese pagodas were square-base and circular-base. The highest Chinese pagoda from the pre-modern age is the Liaodi Pagoda of Kaiyuan Monastery. Standing at 67.31 meters tall with a base diameter of 30.27 meters, this pagoda totally weighs about 7400 metric tons. It is 30 meters higher than the White Pagoda in Beijing's Beihai Park, and about 3 meters higher than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xian. In addition to religious use, since ancient times Chinese pagodas have been praised for the spectacular views which they offer, and many famous poems in Chinese history attest to the joy of scaling pagodas.
  • 18. (D) Shuanglin Iron Tower Location:- Located in the Shuanglin Temple at the foot of Yunhuang Mountain, the Shuanglin Iron Tower was built during Post Zhou Dynasty (952) by Zhu Hongji. Brief Description :- Originally, there are two 5-layer octagonal iron towers in the shape of pavilion. However, it’s a pity that one of the towers has been destroyed by the warfare. The one reserved tower is about 2.15 meters high with two layers and surrounded by octahedral iron fences. Some vivid wildlife, Buddhist figures, flowers, water wave and other patterns are casted on the tower body. However, some parts have been corroded already.

  • 22. In Egypt (A)Luxor Temple Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in Egypt. Luxor Temple is Founded in 1400 BCE. And Known in the Egyptian Language as ipet resyt, or "the southern sanctuary".
  • 23. To the rear of the temple are chapels builtby Tuthmosis III and Alexander. The Luxor temple was built with sandstone from the Gebel el- Silsila area, which is located in south-western Egypt. Like other Egyptian structures a common technique used was symbolism, or illusionism. At the Luxor temple, the two obelisks flanking the entrance were not the same height, but they created the illusion that they were. With the layout of the temple they appear to be of equal height, but using illusionism, it enhances the relative distances hence making them look the same size to the wall behind it.

Brief Description:- The Temple of Philae is dedicated primarily to the Egyptian Goddess, Isis, although her consort Osiris and her son Horus were also worshipped there. Philae has also been a seat of the Christian faith. Today, the Temple is reached by boat, and visitors can gain an indication of its layout even prior to landing. The well preserved rectangular building containing fourteen columns with floral capitals is known as Trajan’s Kiosk being attributed as being built by the Roman Emperor Trajan

  • 31. Situated on the summit of the citadel, this Ottoman mosque, the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century. The mosque was built in memory of Tusun Pasha, Muhammad Ali's oldest son, who died in 1816. This great mosque, is one of the landmarks and tourist attractions of Cairo and is one of the first features to be seen when approaching the city from no matter which side. The mosque was built with a central dome surrounded by four small and four semicircular domes. It was constructed in a square plan and measured 41x41 meters. The central dome is 21 meters in diameter and the height of the building is 52 meters. Two elegant cylindrical minarets of Turkish type with two balconies and conical caps are situated on the western side of the mosque, and rise to 82 meters.

Brief Description:- The towers were built and opened in 1995 to become the head office of the Société Générale, one of France's largest banking groups.

The towers were the tallest skyscrapers built in La Défense since the Tour Total in 1985. The northern tower is named tour Alicante and the southern one tour Chassagne. In its interior design, Chassagne is decorated with white stone from the village ofChassagne in Auvergne, whereas Alicante is decorated with red marble from Alicante in Spain.

Stern Architects Location: La Défense, France The Tour Carpe Diem is a 162-metre tall skyscraper in the La Défense business district, near Paris in France. Completed in 2013, it is located in the municipality of Courbevoie and is used for offices. A monumental stair descends from the building's winter garden and lobby to a public plaza on the Boulevard Circulaire, where a second front welcomes visitors at what was heretofore the back of the site. Tour Carpe Diem's pure form and faceted facades allow the tower to stand out in a thicket of tall buildings in La Défense.
