Nobody is Perfect
So often I meet Business Owners that insist on writing the perfect piece
of copy and end up missing deadlines or even worse, never sending anything
out. Look at each article you write as a stepping stone to get you closer
to your goal, and always Test and Measure so that you can
improve each time and have confidence that you are
delivering content that is genuinely ‘Brilliant’!
Personal Text Only
Sending the occasional Email that looks and sounds like it has come from
you personally, usually gets brilliant conversion rates as your prospects
do not think that they are being mass Marketed to. This is a Brilliant trick,
just don’t do it too often…
Call To Action
This is the most important part of any piece of Marketing as it tells your
prospect what you want them to do. That being said it is often overlooked.
You should make sure that it is relevant, compelling and
links to a landing page that will drive your readers into
your Sales Funnel.
Create a sense of Urgency
Let’s face it, the objective of most Email Marketing is to increase Sales. By
creating a sense of urgency in your Call to Action, prevents your readers from
putting off what it is you want them to do. Try adding a time scale such as
“Only one day left!”. A deadline is a powerful psychological motivator that
kick starts the readers fear of missing out and will boost your conversion rates.
A Picture = 1000 Words
A well chosen image can have far more impact than a page of text, as the
majority of readers simply scan Emails. So, make it easy for them by using an
eye catching image that supports and highlights your message.

Added Value Content
Instead of creating sales materials, try creating free content that builds trust
and confidence with your readers, such as ‘how-to guides’ and ‘top tips’. This
establishes you as an expert in your field and moves your customers’ buying
decision away from price and back to your brand values.
Less is More!
Especially when your readers are scanning content, try cutting out pretty
much everything apart from 2 or 3 descriptive bullet points with a ‘read more’
at the end, that links to your blog …

A Picture = 1000 Words A well chosen image can have far more impact than a page of text, as the majority of readers simply scan Emails. So, make it easy for them by using an eye catching image that supports and highlights your message. How to Write Email Content `Brilliant' `Brilliant' Added Value Content Instead of creating sales materials, try creating free content that builds trust and confidence with your readers, such as ‘how-to guides’ and ‘top tips’. This establishes you as an expert in your field and moves your customers’ buying decision away from price and back to your brand values. Less is More!
