  2. 2. What is Communication?  Comes from Latin commūnicāre, meaning "to share"  Process of sharing ideas, thoughts, intentions, feelings through words or actions.

  8. 8. Verbal Communication  The sharing of information through spoken words.  It relies on both language and emotions to produce desired effects.  It is vital to teaching and learning and to form bonds and building relations with others.
  9. 9. Non verbal Communication  Process of communication between sender and receiver through wordless cues.  It encompasses :- 1. Body language (Kinesics) 2.Voice (Paralanguage) 3. Distance (Proxemics) 4.Touch (Haptics) 5.Time (Chronological)

  11. 11. Cross Cultural Communication  Field of study that looks at how people of different cultures interact with each others.  Basically of two types : intraculture and interculture.
