WHAT IS JNNURM?
• Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission is an ambitious programme of the
Government of India to bring about improvement in the existing urban service levels and urban
infrastructure in a financially sustainable manner.

CONCLUSION
Cities which is in lack of basic services for urban poor is creating unhygienic conditions. So
BSUP helped urban poor to have basic services like housing units, water supply, sanitation,
education, health facilities etc., From government. This will improvise the living conditions of
urban poor and will help to stop the growth of informal settlements inside the city. If
government would able to finance basic services for all urban poor in cities under BSUP,
slums will get vanished from cities and everyone can have better living conditions

  • 16. CONCLUSION Cities which is in lack of basic services for urban poor is creating unhygienic conditions. So BSUP helped urban poor to have basic services like housing units, water supply, sanitation, education, health facilities etc., From government. This will improvise the living conditions of urban poor and will help to stop the growth of informal settlements inside the city. If government would able to finance basic services for all urban poor in cities under BSUP, slums will get vanished from cities and everyone can have better living conditions
