2. *Joel Meyerowitz was born

* He began photographing in
color in 1962 and was an early
advocate of the use of color .

* Meyerowitz was born in the

medical illustration at Ohio State

4. EARLY LIFE
* In 1962, inspired by seeing Robert Frank
at work, he quit his job as an art director
at an advertising agency.
* After alternating between black-and-
white and color, he permanently adopted
color in 1972

four documentary series The Genius of
Photography
* He is the author of 26 books including
Cape Light, considered as classic work of
color photography.
