2. Facebook posting frequency depends on the person or
the brand – essentially, one can post as frequently as
they wish. As posting frequency increases to three
times a day though, unsubscribe rates do as well.
Tip #1: Pay close attention to the number of
unsubscribes relative to the number of posts on your
Page
3. Tip #2: Post on weekends and off peak hours

7. Like Facebook, Twitter posting frequency depends on
the person or the brand. Twitter, though, is a numbers
game, and frequent tweeting is core to the usefulness
of the platform.
Tip #1: Define your goal on Twitter: Do you want to
increase followers or drive traffic to your website?
8. Tip #2: If you wish to increase followers and see a large
number of retweets, post frequently
• Most people can tweet
more than they
currently do without
clogging their
followers’ Twitter feed
• Highest number of
retweets occur late in
the week and between
2PM and 5PM EST

likely to click
through links if in
each post

and 5PM EST

10. Tip #4: Find an average number of daily tweets that
is appropriate for your Twitter strategy
The average number of tweets peaks around
22
times per day.
While this doesn’t have to hold true for your strategy, find an
appropriate number of tweets that assists you in achieving your
goals on Twitter.
