This sort of funding will enhance, assist and grow the sport
of soccer in the township community of Edendale which is
labelled by many as an undeserved community. Funding
will continue to fuel soccer in the area as a powerful
vehicle for social change. By supporting this football club
you’ll ensure that children within this community have
affordable access to quality soccer equipment that
supports their physical development.

Special XI FC wishes to be a leader in sports-based youth
development, using soccer as a vehicle for social change
among youth in township areas. We hope to provide
programs that’ll deliver positive health and social
outcomes. We offer initiatives that are safe for township

environments in which both boys and girls thrive, we
currently provide children within Edendale with physical
activity and mentorship. We believe in the power of the
game to make a difference. Every child should have a
chance to play. Every child should have a chance to play in
a safe environment and live a healthy active life. We aim
to further the common welfare and wellbeing of the
communities of Edendale by providing the youth with the
opportunity to participate in the sport of soccer. Their
participation is intended to be organized in a manner
promoting safety and fostering appropriate social,
education and athletic values for the benefit of the
children.
The mission of Special XI is to create a positive
environment and supportive infrastructure in order to
provide members of our community with the opportunity
to develop physically, intellectually and socially through
the sport of soccer.
