• The problem is that we tend to
assume that all data science is
the same. It’s not.
• We should find out such a person
in our organization who has some
basic logical ideas and knows
how and where to use data in
proper manner.
The smartest thing
the organizations
start doing is seed-
fund.
They empower small
cross-functional data-
oriented teams
explicitly charged
with delivering
tangible and
measurable data-
driven benefits in
relatively short
periods of time.
Start small, go big
• The emphasis is on building greater
data capability than better digital
infrastructures.
• The goal is to make all of the
organization do hard work on data
analysis.
It may be that the typical team was
collectively less skilled and competent
than a typical data scientist. But that
collective team learned from each
other and sent a message to the rest
of the organization that even baby
steps in analytics could yield large
strides in outcome.

Just understand and
appreciate the key
principles and practices of
data science.
All you need to do is..
Relevance to Indian
Manager
To predict the
outcomes based
on the data
provided.
It will help a
manager to learn
to ask the right
questions,
otherwise data is
dumb.
