Fully understanding the requirements
Millar Cameron consultants will take a formal job
specification and understand the background of your
organisation. The consultant will ensure they have a
detailed comprehension of your requirement in terms
of knowledge, skills and behaviour together with an
understanding of how to promote your organisation to
the right candidates.
A careful targeted strategy
Prior to embarking on the recruitment process your
dedicated Millar Cameron consultant and their respective
research team will compile a strategy to effectively target
the right individuals for your position. We will gather
market intelligence and map your competitors to ensure
our search will be comprehensive.
Sourcing the best candidates
Millar Cameron uses a number of sources to generate
a long list of applicants including referrals, database
searching, direct headhunting, advertising, job boards,
social networking ecosystems and forum penetration.
We realise that some of the most powerful applicants
are those who are passive, people who are not actively
looking for work.
Compiling a quality shortlist
Millar Cameron implement a two stage approach:
– Stage 1. The research team will source, interview and
create a long list of candidates.
– Stage 2. Your consultant further profiles and qualifies
candidates to create a shortlist of a maximum of three
profiles per role.
Video interview screening
For many of our clients we organise and undertake
video interviews using a list of pre-agreed, competency
based questions. We conduct and record the interviews
and send them to our clients as a media file. This is a
useful stage in further demonstrating the suitability of the
candidate prior to the formal interview process.
Candidate appraisal
All profiles will be sent with a coversheet containing
availability, current salaries and benefits, education levels
and a synopsis as to why they are a strong candidate.
Managing the interview process
Our candidates will be fully prepared for the interview,
they will have as much information as possible. We
organise and manage all telephone interviews. We assist
in the arrangement of face to face interviews, including
support arranging visas and managing travel logistics. In
addition Millar Cameron can also arrange psychometric
testing reports for clients who request it.
Checking references
All profiles called for interview will be fully referenced and
these forms will be submitted with referee contact details
for verification purposes.
Managing the offer
Millar Cameron will facilitate the offer process, managing
both client and candidate in their expectations and
negotiating contracts. We guide candidates through
the resignation process and manage the on boarding
process. We conduct post placement interviews with
our candidates helping identify and respond to any
challenges that arise.
