1. Pre-Production – Logistical Elements
 To prepare for my project and shoot my documentary I need to make
sure I have the correct permissions to do so.
 This includes making a resource list to ensure that I have all the
equipment required to shoot on the day I shoot, a personnel list so
that everyone knows who is working and on what days. I need to
scout locations to shoot for my documentary, I also need to file a
location release to have permission to shoot on the location that I
have researched. I also need to assess all the risks that could be
possible while shooting the documentary. I need to create a shooting
schedule so that I know when to shoot. In the case of any
contributions, I need to file a contributor release.

2. Resource List
 DSLR Camera / Phone camera: To shoot and record the
documentary.
 Phone Mic: To record the voices of the people in the
documentary.
 Tripod: To put the camera on top of and keep the image as
stable as possible.
 Wheels: I may require wheels on the tripod for smooth motion
movements for shots that may require it. It will also make
moving the tripod and camera much easier during shooting.

 I think shooting in this location will be perfect for my
documentary as all personnel involved will be easily available
as they all study in the college.
 The Sunderland College Campus also has areas which aren’t
very crowded and are reliable for continuity when shooting.
 The area is also relatively big which will be good for shooting
my documentary; it will allow for a range of different shots to
be used with different scenery in different scenes.

6. Location Release
 This is my location release form which allows
me to shoot and film on the premises of
Sunderland Bede College.
 I will also need the permission to film on the
premises of Goals, which is right next to the
college.

7. Contributor Release
 This is my contributor release form, this shows
that I have given permission for a contributor
to work on the development of my
documentary with me.
 It also shows that they have given me their
permission to work on the documentary.

9. Shooting Schedule
 I assume that the shooting schedule will be the most challenging part of
my documentary, as the different individuals in the cast for the
documentary will all have different schedules in their lives.
 This means the shooting schedule will be very variable depending on each
individual day and I need to manage the time I have to shoot on each day
very effectively or it will result in continuity problems or worse.
 There is no specific set shooting schedule for my documentary as it
depends on random factors and other people’s schedules.
