Advanced Math I
 For rising 6th grade students – students who completed
advanced math at the 5th grade level and not enrolled in
the IB program.
 Students must have scored a minimum of 1630 on the
Algebra Readiness Diagnostic Test (ARDT), have a B or
higer grade, and be recommended by their teacher to be
eligible for enrollment.
 Successful completion of Advanced Math I will allow
students to take 7th or 8th grade math as a 6th grade
student.
Advanced Math I continued
 Students must score a minimum of 1770 to be placed
in advanced math (7th or 8th )
 Borderline students may be retested at the discretion
of the math specialist.
 Parents will be notified of the grade level their
children will be placed in for the upcoming school
year (2013-2014).
Advanced Math II
 For rising 7th grade students who have successfully
completed 6th grade math class.
 Students must have scored 1730 or higher, have
grade B or higher, and receive teacher
recommendation to be considered for the Advanced
Math II class.
 Successful completion of Advanced Math II will
allow students to take 8th grade math or Algebra I as
a 7th grade student.
Advanced Math II continued
 Borderline students may be retested at the discretion
of the math specialist.
 Parents will be notified of the grade level their
children will be placed in for the upcoming school
year (2013-2014).
