WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bandolero Construction / Superintendent
I am responsible for running multiple commercial construction projects at one time. I do general
supervision, scheduling subs, estimating, punch lists, permitting and various other tasks that relate to the
jobs that I am responsible for.
Gander Mountain Academy / Firearms Instructor (October 2012 – December 2013)
I am an NRA certified Instructor. I am also an NRA certified Range Officer. I teach Kansas carry
concealed weapons classes, advanced handgun techniques, basic pistol instruction, and a host of other
training including private instruction classes, both live fire and in the classroom to civilians, law
enforcement, fire, military, and security personnel.
Triple Canopy / PSS Recruit (July 2011 – September 2011)
I was assigned to class PSS2011-13. This was a WPS training course, we covered all areas of the
curriculum and training program set forth by the US State Department needed for deployment on a WPS
contract. I am proficient on the following weapons systems, glock 17, M240B, M-4, M249SAW, M230,
Remington 870, and the AK-47. I received very specific training in vehicle operations to include on and off
road operations, low and high profile convoy operations, and ramming.
EOD Technologies / Global Security Specialist (June/2010 – May/2011)
As a Global Security Specialist my team and I were responsible for the physical security of a military camp
in the area of Jalalabad, Afghanistan. I worked different assigned posts such as tower duty, roving patrol,
escort, and I worked the Entry Control Point for the camp.
EOD Technologies / Rapid Response Team Leader (March 2009 – March 2010)
As the Rapid Response Team Leader I supervised a team of 15 individuals. That team
consisted of expats, Fijian’s, Ugandan’s, and Croatians. The Rapid Response Team was
a quick reaction force for the Victory Base complex in Baghdad.
Armor Group North America / Site Lead (June 2008 – September 2008)
As a Site Lead for Armor Group I was tasked with supervising twenty or more
individuals at different disaster locations following a hurricane in the southern US. I
coordinated with high ranking individuals in the Texas and Louisiana National Guard
and also briefed Law Enforcement and Emergency Management officials in the same
areas. I currently posses an armed security license in Texas and in Louisiana and am
qualified on the Beretta 92F.
Dyncorp FZ / Iraqi Police Advisor / PSD (March 2007 – February 2008)
I spent approximately 3 months as an Iraqi Police Advisor and lived in different Police
Stations in the City of Ramadi Iraq. I operated with one other IPA and was attached to a
3rd infantry team from the US Army. My days consisted of foot patrols in the city with
the Iraqi Police and various other training sessions. I was tasked with instructing at
Phoenix Academy in Ramadi where I helped to write the curriculum and train Iraqi
Police Detectives. After instructing the Iraqi Police I was transferred to a “Shark” team
with Dyncorp. The shark teams were the PSD teams that transported Dyncorp
personnel and equipment around the country of Iraq. We were based out of Baghdad.
Our most frequent missions were transporting incoming and outgoing Dyncorp
2. personnel to and from BIOP and the IZ. My training consisted of two weeks in a tent in
Baghdad with my fellow team mates for white board instruction and a lot of on the job
training.
Business Owner / Steve Peters Construction Co (January 2006 – Present)
I am a class A licensed General Contractor and I own a small remodeling company that specializes in deck
and outdoor kitchen construction.
Maize Police Department / Police Detective (July 2004 – January 2006)
As a Police Detective I followed up on all major cases not handled by the Patrol division.
I concentrated on narcotics most all of the time. I taught 6 different DARE classes a
school year as well. I received commendations awards for my amount of drug and DUI
arrests as well as for donating my tools and expertise to build a new police squad room.
Park City Police Department / Police Officer II (March 1998 – July 2004)
As a Police Officer with the Park City Police Department I became a Field Training
Officer in February of 2001. I remained in that position during my employment with
the Park City department. I trained and supervised new police recruits out of the police
academy. As a Police Officer II I was the Supervisor in charge of the shift if we did not
have a Sergeant available. During my time with the Park City Police Department I
received several awards including Police Officer of the year, several drug seizure awards,
and an award for discovering the largest meth lab in the state at that time.
