Presenter
• Who am I? Why should I listen to you? – credentialise yourself
• Rehearse / Practice / Polished
• Know your material / know what comes next (slide notes to make your point)
• Assume the AV will break – be able to present without any props or visual aids
• Don’t “READ” your text or bullets - talk about a subject relevant to the slide.
• “Sell” the proposition you’re making – answer the question “why am I looking at this
slide / what is the point you’re making
• Timing & Pace – don’t go too slow or too fast (especially if short of time). Cut material
rather than talk faster.
• Keep the energy levels up & keep it exciting.
