APPLICATION STAGE
During this sage the students are given carefully selected problems to solve. This not only
builds the confidence of the students but also makes them familiar with the divergence nature
and complexity of the problems. This includes all innovative problems based on the latest
trends in IIT-JEE examination. The students are given sufficient range of questions so as to
give them thorough exposure and practice in solving graded problems from the entire
syllabus.
HOW TO GAIN CONFIDENCE
One must make a plan and time table. Give priority to each subject. Give more time to the
subject you are weak in. Make an assessment of the syllabus you covered and the left over.
Calculate the time you need to cover the left over syllabus. Calculate the time you need for
revision of the syllabus. You must be honest, strict and dedicated towards study and the time
table.
Read the questions in detail and solve with the help of the notes you have made in the
classroom and complete the whole syllabus. If you face any difficulty in solving any problem,
take help from the teachers and friends. Practice again and again for the problems you are
weak in.
HOW TO TAKE THE EXAM
When you take your seat in the examination hall, don’t feel nervous. There is nothing to
worry about in the exam. Make up your mind to solve the questions that may be difficult but
possibly you will make the grade.
When you get the paper in your hand, take a long breathe, close your eyes for a while and
recall the beautiful and happiest moments of your life. Read the instructions carefully. Do not
open the seal of the paper until you are asked to do so. This will enhance your confidence.
Fill up the information in the paper correctly asked by the examiner.
Once you get the instructions to open the question paper, select the easiest questions to solve
first, then attempt the difficult and more difficult questions at last.
HOW TO SOLVE QUESTIONS
Put your writing material on the table. Take a long breathe. Read the question again and again
quickly . it is clear that what the examiner wanted of you to do. If you are clear about what is
asked in the question, give a rethought to your views and make a planning to solve the
question. If you have a clear thought about the answer of the question attempt with
confidence and mark your response at the appropriate space provided in the Answer Sheet. It
is very significant that you should maintain the speed and take care of time and accuracy.

TIPS FOR PREPARATION
Aim
It is the foremost requirement of a student to decide and choose his/her aim before he/she is
going to start preparation. You must be sincere and honest enough in assessing your
suitability for the Aim.
Start Early
For success in achieving your aim, it is required to start preparation right from class XI with
dedication and devotion sincerely
Proper Planning
For a school going student it may be little difficult to go for academic as well as competitive
studies together. If you plan and make a time table it will be an easy task for you.
Punctuality
It is very much important to be punctual while preparing for exam, else you may- find that
some part of your syllabus is not covered and may cause lack of confidence.
Serious Approach
You must take your study as an entertaining instrument. Must feel enjoying your study. This
will create a conducive atmosphere for study and avoid unwanted tension.
Identify your Weak- Subjects
Must analyse in which subject you are weak and needs to put in more efforts to improve.
Choosing Quality Study Material
You must consult good quality study material. Consulting poor quality books may result in
danger or may create confusion in your mind to get confidence, better go for choosing good
quality study material and depend on self study after classroom coaching.
Frequently Tests
You must undergo frequent tests within time frame to know your position about the
examination standard you are appearing.
Honest Approach
You must solve the problems honestly at your own. Bring your answer to the question first
and then compare with the given Answer Sheet. Do not depend on readymade solutions only.
This will loose your confidence.
Consultation
In case you find somewhere stuck in solving problems, you must consult your friends and
teachers to save time.

STUDY PLAN
Study plan for the whole year
Hard work is the key to success and there is no alternative to it. You should pay more
attention towards studying round the year. Do not waste time on gossiping with unreliable
source. Main Aim of your study is to achieve success in life, therefore, one should not leave
any stone unturned that comes in your way to gain more knowledge and confidence.
To study in the class room is important, but how to study is rather more important. You are
required to study round the year with dedication and devotion. You must be serious in studies
in the class as well as at home.
Make sure of the following activities:
 Make a time table for daily routine.
 Get up early in the morning and go for a morning walk.
 You must be regular in attending the class well in time.|
 Remain attentive in the class.
 Listen to the teachers carefully.
 Make a note of all the points discussed in your study material.
 Ask as many questions to the teacher again and again if you could not follow the method or
could not clear the concept.
 Note down the points discussed by the teacher in the study material if you could clear the
concept.
 Practice at home and revise all the problems in detail and make short notes for further
study.
 Even if there are still some points you could not follow, must put questions to the teacher
the next day.
 Allot time to each subject daily.
 Give extra time to the subject you are weak in.
 You may request your teacher to give extra time to you. He will surely help if you are
truthful and honest.
 Discuss your weak subjects with your friends who are good in that subject.
 Enjoy your studies and do not feel nervous.
 Must give time to enjoy with parents, friends and relatives, else they may feel that you are
ignoring them. This will also enhance your confidence.
5
 Must help your family members as and when you find a leisure time. This will give you
satisfaction.
 One who has worked hard round the year keeping all the suggestions given above in mind
is very well on the right track.
 With timely preparation you will find yourself more confident about the subject and
problems discussed in the class. You will also feel confident and bold enough to face
the examination.
BEST PREPARATION STRATEGIES / TIPS:-
1. Knowing the subject matter included in the Entrance Examination. You should
thoroughly grasp all the subjects and finer points in each chapter. It can be done by
systematically studying the complete course seriously in the class room as well as at home.
This factor contributes about 60% chances of success.
2. Studying from the Study Material. You should prepare from Study Material, which is
written strictly according to the given syllabus.; You should avoid the books, which
contain superfluous or inadequate matter. This factor contributes about 20% chances of
success.
3. Understanding the style of questions. You should be fully aware of the latest style and
trend of the questions likely to be asked in the examination. This can be done by going
through the previous years question papers. This factor contributes about 10% chances of
success.
4. Practice for answering the questions. You should also test your ability to answer the
questions in the time provided for each competition. This can be done either in the class
room or honestly at home. This factor contributes about 10% chances of success.
5. Secret of success. It has been observed that most of the candidates complain about the
shortage of time. And they feel sad for not been able to attempt all the questions, though
they knew the correct answers. You can overcome this problem by attempting the
questions first in Chemistry. After this you should attempt the questions in Physics and
then the questions in Mathematics. Even in Physics, you should first attempt the non-
numerical type questions and then numerical type. In this way, you will be able to attempt
maximum number of questions in the examination.
HOW TO DEAL WITH INDIVIDUAL SUBJECTS
PHYSICS
(1) Solve all problem once again which is formula based.
(2) Solve 50 questions of full syllabus set. The set should be of CBSE, AIIMS, or AIEEE.
Questions must be finished within 55 minutes.
6
(3) Solve CTW (Confusion, Tough, wrong) problem marked in your objective guide. But
Excess Tough problem should be avoided.
(4) MODERN PHYSICS, CURRENT ELECTRICITY, ELECTROSTATE, SHM,
GRAVITATION, WORK POWER ENERGY, MOTION, THERMODYNAMICS, SOUND
AND WAVE should be emphasised .
CHEMISTRY
(1) Solve 50 questions of full Syllabus set like physics.
(2) Solve CTW problems, as directed in Physics. Maximum of physical Chemistry.
(3) Give more time on theory to Complete Organic and inorganic portion of Chemistry (at
least 1 hour).
(4) Stress should be on Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry at their Last moment
because of maximum memory based part.
BIOLOGY
(1) Read theory more and more times of NCERT Book only if you used to read it always. If
not then revise under lined theory of book whatever you used to read. Genetics System,
Ecology, Applied Biology, evolution and plant physiology should be emphasized.
(2) leave that portion in which you don't have concept and are very weak (If No. of questions
are asked less from this portion).
(3) Go Through a test every day, which contains 200 questions of physics, Chemistry
and Biology of full syllabus. This set should be solved on practice answer sheet within 2:10
hour. The time should be from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM to concentrate your mind at the exam.
Time fixed by almost all PMTs.
(4) Solve CTW (Confusion, Tough, wrong) problem marked in your objective guide. But
Excess tough problem should be avoided.
EXTRA ACTIVITIES
(a) Give special time of 1 hour for important chapters from which many questions are asked
in CBSE.
(b) You have to work hard in these remaining days. Be regular. Don't go too much depth, it is
often not required. Speed must be there while solving papers.
(c) Avoid discussion at this moment. Last 20 days are meant only for self study.
(d) Read all three subjects daily or at least two subjects together to avoid monotomy i.e;
physics & chemistry one day, Bio. And chemistry the other day and likewise. ..
DISTRIBUTION OF TIME FOR EACH SUBJECT
(1) From this period the time for physics and chemistry should be 50 % and the time for
biology should be 50% of total time of study. But the time of physics & chemistry should be
7
decreasing and the time of Biology shoud is increasing day by day as exam comes near.
Before 5 days of examination the time of physics & chemistry should be 5% (only formula)
and time of biology should be 95 % of total time.
(2) Ideal time distribution in general question is 1:05 hrs for physics, 50 minutes for
chemistry and 55 minutes for Biology. But it also depends upon the level of questions and
time may vary according to it if individual subject is easy or tough. You have target to solve
your question paper before 10 minutes of provided time.
IMPORTANT ACTIVITY ON THE EXAM DAY
(1) Examination day is meant for examination and not for revision. So give relax to your
mind on this tense time. Eat chocolate boomer etc. to keep normal yourself.
(2) Start with the subjects on which you have strong hold.
 Read the questions very carefully as addition or exclusion of one word may change
the answers.
 Read all four choices. Some questions need common sense.
 Don't take the exam casually, when struck on a question trust your instincts only and
only if you had studied the relevant topic throughout in the past.
(3) It is very productive to save the last 10 minutes for revising the papers.
(4) Be relaxed enough, don’t panic, House self confidence, don’t lose your cool.
HABITUAL EFFORT ON THE EVE OF EXAM
(1) Food habits must be regular from now onwards.
(2) Every day, during the morning take exercise to stimulate oxygen to your brain. If you
know something of YOGA, nothing likes it. This helps in improving mental alertness.
(3) Go to bed at a fixed time to wake up fresh in the morning. Don't have irregular habits like
sleeping during day time, (10.00 to 1.00) staying away at night. You must sleep for at least 6
hours.
(4) You should reach the test centre at least half an hour before the exam and if you have not
seen the centre before than you must go and visit the centre 1 or 2 day before the exam.
(5) We recommend that you do not study at night on the eve of CBSE day because your mind
must be relaxed before you go to sleep for the night.
(6) Relax yourself with activities such as a long walk, a warm bath, watching television,
listening music or any other technique of relaxation.
(7) Remember to carry at least two ball point blue or black pen and a pencil with eraser (if it
is needed.) check your admit Card in your packet?
(8) You must carry a Biselary water bottle at the Exam. Centre along with a packet of
GLUCOSE.

A WORD OF BEST ADVICE
Dear Candidate
I intend to send my heartiest good wishes for your success in your forthcoming Exams. In
fact, it is my utmost desire that you should achieve your cherished dream of joining an
Engineering/Medical college of your choice.
Your parents wish that you should achieve many successes in your life, so that you enhance
the prestige of your family. Your teachers and relatives also wish that you should become a
brilliant Engineer/Doctor.
Your admission in the Engineering/Medical College will definitely add one more feather not
only in your personality, but also in your family.Your friends and relatives will be proud of
you.
Some people believe that success in any Competition is a matter of chance. But it is not so. In
general, a candidate with 70% marks in the Board Examination can perform better than a
candidate with 75% marks, but not better than a candidate with 85% or 90%. However, it can
be achieved only by smart hard work and forgetting worldly attractions, around you, for
sometimes.
You must study at least 14-15 hours a day and revise the syllabus as many times as
possible. The following points will prove very helpful in achieving your dream of joining an
Engineering College of your choice.

SUCCESS FORMULA GIVEN BY SUCCESSFUL STUDENT (BCECE-RANK 1st)
With best wishes for All the Medical Aspirants
 At first you all have to think that you all are going to be a medico in the next year,
Think positive like a winner.
 As far as my success concern, there are some views and thoughts of mine.
 For competing medical exam, the most important thing is Will Power and
Dedication. If you have both the property, then certainly you will get the Goal.
 Never loose your patience rather tries to eliminate the fault. Because there were
very ups and downs in the tests during my study time. Once when my rank was
158 , I became too much frustrated and thought I can get nothing in my final
exam, But in the mean time I consulted to the experts of SUBJECTS who directed
me to have patience and continue work with positive attitude. I followed the
suggestion and finally achieved the goal by the grace of God.
 Be careful for the minor mistakes and unit in the exam.
 Please obey the advice of management honestly, take the entire test in seriously
and thereby try to improve yourself in each test.
 It is necessary to reach up to the final answer of each question in subjective exam
of CBSE-MAIN's instead of solving many problems and proceed to a certain
extent (especially in Physics and Chemistry Test).
 As far as book is concerned, you know very well about the book of Physics and
Chemistry. But for Biology only text book and notes of teacher should be
preferred rather than many other useless books.
 Everyday you should make a target and try to fulfill it at any cost.
 Hard labour is very important, but smart work is most important thing for us.
Whatever you have to do, please do it completely and whole heartedly.
 In last, please have faith in yourself and have faith in God, and believe that if you
do hard labour, then certainly God will help you.
BEST OF LUCK FOR ALL YOUR FUTURE
EXAMS.
