- Thank you… and thank you to all those joining me. My hope for you is that after today’s presentation, you understand what services we have available to help you with your your project and fit your budget. My name is Kim Deal and I work for Precisely.
- For this presentation, I plan to take just a moment to introduce Precisely since our company name may sound relatively new. But actually, Precisely is a new company name based on companies I am sure you are familiar with. Next I will dive into the types of services we have today, then Talk through a few customer examples And finally share where you can learn more and try some of these services yourself.
- As I mentioned previously, Forrester identified an entirely different analyst to conduct the survey in 2018 and the same analyst conducted the 2020 survey recently. The prior survey analyst was perhaps too generous to the other vendors and so you see some slippage in rank by those vendors such as Oracle. It is interesting to note the appearance of new suppliers and the exit of some competitors in 2018. If you perceive from this chart the PB is slightly ahead of Esri on the vertical axis you would be correct … Alteryx and SAP are gone, and MapLarge has moved from being a Strong Performer to that of a mid-level Contender. Compared to 2016, all the players that remain, went a bit backward…so, for Syncsort/PB to remain in a leadership position is significant. It is unknown how many of the software companies on this slide will remain in the survey for 2020 although I assume Esri will be there and Oracle told me directly they were being evaluated.

- So you start with your data, where it is located or perhaps it is being captured online. You validate that information And through geocoding maybe you want to pinpoint a physical location. You may want to attach a latitude longitude and that allows you to provide more analytics around the data. But to get to insights you often need to add to your business data. We make data enrichment fast and easy, with a unique identifier, the PreciselyID, which is appended to a postal address and makes linking your data with additional datasets fast and easy. The PreciselyID allows our customers to access what could be seen traditionally as quite difficult data to deal with, a very fast and straight-forward process.
- What are the general areas of capabilities we have available today through APIs and SDKs? Today we make it easy to use data from any data source or online data capture and enrich it for use in your business process, workflow, or Enterprise Business System. You can use any or all of the capabilities listed but let me take just a moment to share our most commonly used services. First, we have our Geo Addressing capabilities which are our address capture, validation, and geocoding services. In this area, we clean, standardize and verify the postal address. Then we can assign a lat/long / geocode to an address and then add a PreciselyID. Using that PreciselyID, we are able to add new datasets very quickly. We have over 9000 attributes across over 400 datasets. We have standard data such as boundaries, points of interest, property attributes, and Dynamic Data such as demographic content showing movement over time. We then have services that can create and expose new attributes based on an address. You can query and create new attributes based on travel distance, travel time, density, and so much more. And finally we can share those insights through dashboards and map-based visualizations. All this information can be shared through APIs to enterprise applications, BI dashboards, data pipelines and basically add rich business context to all your data.
