5. Only problem is the owner has not kept up with the site to see what others are saying.
6. The reviews on that site are very damaging to Ultimate Electronics. Nothing is being done by this owner to address the concerns expressed, so when anyone who researches this business sees this they will go somewhere else.
7. These are all real life examples as they presently exist at the time of this production. As you can see, even if you do not think you are on the web, chances are high that you are wrong. Virtual businesses have the opposite problem however.
8. Virtual businesses have to work very hard to get noticed especially if you have no commercial phone listing. With the explosion of cell phones and VOIP technology, it's easy to cut out the expense of a commercial land line.
9. At least a commercial phone will cause a listing into many of the mass listing sites. If the mass listing sites do not know about you, then you truly are invisible.
10. You have a web site up and no one goes on it as no one can find it. You can try SEO and even PPC. These will help to a small extent. What you need are some serious strategies though.
11. Taking advantage of every area of Social Media can bring in huge results especially if you cross link all your sites. Build a blog on a separate hosting site from your web site and cross link.
12. Now if you find you have a presence on the web and you find out to your horror that there are negative comments about your business, what do you do?
13. Let's go back to the example of Ultimate Electronics. As the owner, take ownership of the issues. Try and track down the poster. Offer to fix the issue.
14. Post on the site where the bad review is located, what you have done. Ask the person who has complained if they would be willing to post an update.
15. Once you have corrected all the issues, start a new Social Media campaign. You now want to project a positive image that people will respond to.
