CONCEPT
Arabesque, a term coined by Turkish musicologists, signifies the mix of rythms and melodies from Asia and Europe, and also
draws ideas from Balkans and Middle East.
Arabesque is a union of cultures and intense way of expressing feelings. It portrays a highly overstated and agonizing
depiction of love and yearing, along with unriquited love, grief and pain.
In SS 2015 collection that’s exactly what aim to point out. Transcending the borders of fashion and expressing our own
mood with the combination of different fabrics, colours and prints. In each and every garment, it is possible to feel the
influence from different cultures all blended with Turkish culture.
This collection provides two main silhouettes. Relaxed, low crotch harem pants and shorts with generous volumes, sculptural
look slim fit shirts and t-shirts, motorcycling inspired slim fit jacket & blazers with functional constructions, volumized
coats and fine yarn knits are the main pieces of the collection.
An array of various kinds of fabrics are used with a huge colour palette. High tech polyesters and nylons, cottons,
cotton-linen blens and jerseys are used in combination with each other. Tones of soil colours and grays are
strongly used in addition to shades of yellow, green, brown and salmon. Arabesque inspired graphic
elements that are characterized by contrast brighter colours are distinctly infused into the collection
to give it an unmistakable old meets new quality.
