It is a good idea to establish minimum technology competencies for staff to achieve within a two-year period.
Classrooms should have multimedia projectors.
Classrooms should have interactive whiteboards.
Research confirms that 10-40% of children in K-12 schools have difficulty hearing in classroom settings. Hearing is developmental and particularly critical in primary education.  BPSD should invest in audio enhancement particularly for K-3.
How often do teachers use technology to teach?
How often do students use technology for learning?
Currently BPS filters more internet content than is required by law. Other districts and countries filter less and focus on teaching responsible use.
