2. ABSTARCT
The objective of this study is to 1) describe the
implementation of the semi-military (ketarunaan) program in
Vocational High Schools, 2) to analyze the obstacles faced in
implementing the semi-military program in Vocational High
Schools, and 3) to analyze solutions that can be done to
overcome the obstacles faced in implementation of semi-
military program in the vocational high school.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive
research form. Data collection techniques are by observation,
interviews, and documentation.
3. BACKGROUND OF STUDY
1. Violence involving vocational high school students in the school
environment (KPAI data, 2018)
2. The issue of the number of unemployed comes from SMK
graduates (BPS, 2019)
3. Lack of student discipline during the learning process
(Ma'shumah, 2019)
4. The character of SMK graduates (attitude) is a company demand
(Marlock, 2019)
4. PREVIOUS RESEARCH
• Khusnaini (2019) " Analisis Kebijakan Penguatan Karakter Bela Negara di
SMK Sore Tulung Agung ", the result: there is a significant change from
students to comply with regulations significantly compared to the
previous generation, which without strengthening character education at
the beginning of entry first.
• Asset Sugiana (2019) " Penanaman Nilai Karakter Disiplin dan Tanggung
Jawab di SMK Ethika Palembang ", the result: Islamic Religious Education
Teachers in instilling character values play a major role in influencing
the character of students.
• Ahmad Muhtadi (2019) "Implementation of National Character Education
(Study Activities Analysis at MAN Karanganyar)". The result: Scouting
activities can shape the character of students.
5. CONDITION OF PREVIOUS RESEARCH
• Khusnaini's research (2019) has not described the overall
impairment program. Researchers only focus on student
activities at the beginning of the school year.
• Aset Sugiana (2019) only highlights the role of Islamic
Religious Education Teachers in instilling character values.
• Ahmad Muhtadi (2019) has not described the overall
impairment program. Researchers only focus on scouting /
scouting activities even though not all students follow them.
6. THE OBJECTIVE OF STUDY
1. Describe the implementation of the ketarunaan program at
SMK
2. Analyze the constraints faced in implementing the
ketarunaan program in SMK.
3. Analyzing solutions that can be done to overcome the
obstacles faced in implementing the ketarunaan program in
SMK.
7. RESEARCH METHOD
This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach.
Researchers conducted research at SMK Muhammadiyah 1
Sukoharjo which is located at Jl. Anggrek no 2 Sukoharjo,
Central Java.
The data obtained came from interviews, as well as documents
at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sukoharjo.
Data collection techniques were carried out through: (1)
interviews, (2) participant observation, and (3) document
analysis
8. PRELIMINARY FINDINGS
The semi-military (ketarunaan) program at Senior High
School is carried out in 3 (three) stages:
1. Planning
2. Implementation
3. Evaluation
