Internet is a worldwide system of computer networks. Thanks to this
you can access almost any information, communicate with anyone
else in the world and so much more.
The history of the Internet has its origin in information theory and the
efforts to build and interconnect computer networks that arose from
research and development in the United States and involved
international collaboration, particularly with researchers in
the United Kingdom and France.
January 1, 1983 is considered the official birthday of the Internet.
Prior to this, the various computer networks did not have a standard
way to communicate with each other.

In 2021 the number of internet users worldwide stood at 4.9
billion, which means that almost two thirds of the global
population is currently connected to the world wide web.
Shortly said, internet access is the ability to
connect to the internet using technology such as
computer or smart phone.
As of April 2022, there were more than five billion internet users
worldwide, which is 63.1 percent of the global population. Of this total,
4.7 billion or 59 percent of the world's population were social media

At the moment there is many different ways to use internet, such
as computer, smartphone, watch and many more.
Let’s focus on practical aspect – smart homes. We can
find many devices that will use internet and will make
our daily tasks easier.
You can now have dishwasher which will send you notification when it is
done. You can also use robot cleaner and set it off via your phone. You
can also use internet to regulate your thermostat, alarm system or light
and many more.
Yes, you’ve guessed it – possibilities are endless.

With internet and trends changing we can see more and more videos online. Not
only on platforms like youtube or vimeo but actually any social media.
These videos can be used as a marketing tool since it is more eye catching for

In fact, as of January 2018, 85% of all internet users in the United
States watched online video content monthly on any of their
devices (Statista, 2018)
The study shows that the majority of consumers (68%) prefer watching short videos over other kinds of
content when it comes to learning about something new. Some people still like reading articles or web
posts (15%), while only a handful prefer ebooks (4%), presentation (4%), infographics (3%), sales call
(3%), and other kinds of content (3%).
This statistic shows that as of 2021 83.8% of internet users in US are accessing video content.
In this chart we can see video platform usage, although Vimeo was first, Youtube is becoming more
popular. About 72% of people search for Youtube, 16.62% search Vimeo and others the rest.
