  11. 11. What is a Transit Exchange? A set of systems, algorithms, operational methods / concepts and marketing applied to any vehicle operation within an urban transportation nexus. To enable any operation to optimise its vehicle load factors (and thus increase earnings) by permitting customers who so wish to share rides. By using a mobile device to interact with the exchange and thus the multimodal transport fleet. (summon the ride by SMS, smartphone, web or email)

    Taxi Sharing Yawn! That problem was solved in 1999 - 2001. It has very little upside.
    It sounds like simple vehicle sharing.. Yes it does. Again, this market is hard. ZipCar sold at 50% of its IPO price after 7 years.

The packages are distributed to the handheld devices of the passengers and the vehicle operators.
