Worker councils are groups of workers (not managers) who represent the workers
and meet with managers to discuss and negotiate specifics of labor conditions,
including pay and benefits.
Worker councils are elected by workers or appointed by a company’s board of
directors.
Worker councils also help to reduce conflict through communication channels and
represent workers in the formation of public policy, laws and regulations.
