  • Tim, this is brilliant in many ways. I know you've preached, and practiced, this notion for some time. But I think digital had to evolve to the point where we could be ready to rethink the way we think about print. You have nicely visualized and articulated a path forward for print and you make a fine ambassador for it. I think your presentation could only be better if you embraced the 'digital-ness' of the medium in which you're telling the story. I'd like to see more movement and action. Maybe that would overcome the tediousness that some have commented about. As a P.S., I love the Cheap Holidays piece. It's a perfect example.

I am a third year Graphic Communication & Design student from the University of Leeds and I am currently writing my dissertation about the comparative experience of reading a printed publication versus using a digital application with particular focus on fashion magazines. Your presentation has been really useful and provided plenty of ideas for my work. So just wanted to say thanks and to let you know you've been referenced! :)
