1. The N Charlotte Toyota Camry has come a long way since its release in the U.S in 1983. Now, as it
celebrates its 30 year anniversary, this new Toyota near Charlotte is hitting yet another milestone!
We’re proud to announce that the Toyota Camry has reached 10 million units sold in the U.S.! This is
more than any other vehicle, as it has been the best-selling car in America for the past 11 years!
With 30 years under its belt, the Toyota Camry in N Charlotte has a long and rich history. Although the
original model is a far cry from the model we know and love today, this vehicle has been a staple in the
Toyota brand from the beginning. Toyota of N Charlotte wants to share its history and some of its
milestones reached to help you understand how far it has truly come!
 This vehicle arrived in the U.S. in 1983 replacing the Toyota Corona. Before coming to the U.S.,
it was part of the Toyota Celica lineup and was named the Toyota Celica Camry! Once it hit
America with its new name, it was an instant hit!
 The first generation model sold 52,651 units in its first year of sales! It was available as a four-
door automatic or a five-door liftback design.
 By 1988, the Toyota Camry became so popular that Toyota opened up a manufacturing plant in
Georgetown, KY. Once these vehicles started to be produced in America, they gained even
more popularity and there was no stopping it from there!

2.  This new Toyota continued to change and develop to appeal even more to drivers, adding a
powerful engine, a larger overall size, a refined interior and more!
 In 1997, the Toyota Camry officially became the best-selling vehicle in America and continues to
