Electrocution is the obvious danger facing anyone working on or near live electrical equipment. It’s important to understand shock hazards, their effects on the human body and what to wear for appropriate protection. Information and materials presented in this training program should be considered a basic overview and not a comprehensive list of all risk factors. You must assess each situation individually.
Pain Points – Road Blocks:
US: Selling units – making money
Our Partners: Inventory management – Making Money
Our Customers: Safety – Efficiency – Making Money or Saving Money
Get your audience to think outside of the box. Show temperature changes in elephant and importance of relative transitional temperature
For almost 4 decades FLIR has put millions of dollars into R&D to ensure the technology is advancing and that thermal imaging is available to everyone. Thru years of innovation and securing intelectual property we have been able to continually bring new products that enhance safety, increase productivity and a speedy ROI
Can you imagine where we can go from here?
The thermal doesn’t tell me why it is hot. I need to use a clamp meter to check for overloaded circuits, undersized wiring. We can then determine if it is a failing breaker or loose connection and or corrosion. Example if the whole wire is hot but circuit is not overloaded an assumption could be made that it is an undersized wire.
Electrical Splice or Bridge: With the anamoly showing temperature rise on both sides of the splice we can surmise that this could be load. What do I need to do next to confirm my assumption. Answer: Grab my clamp meter and check load current.
Image of Fuse: it is quick to see that most likely this is a loose or bad connection. We see that the temperature anomaly is focused at a contact point. Grab a meter to check current or voltage drop across the defective device.
This is a grounding bond strap to a ground rod. Current flow from the stair steel to the conductor is occurring and the conductor is overheating by overloading and possible poor connections.
Stairs should not have current flow and is quite dangerous. Without the strap this stair system would be energized to a level that could kill somebody.
Misaligned shafts which creates pressure on top or bottom of the motor which creates resistance which creates elevated temperature and undue wear on a motor. Lack of lubrication or over lubricated equipment can cause elevated temperature

Overloaded
Shaft misalignment
Conveyors
Gear Boxes and Shafts
Drive Belts and pulleys
Roller bearing
If the motor is not damaged then most likely this is an overloaded condition and load must be reduced. Corrective action was taken without compromising production

I’m going to start with a question.
Applications are endless...after 15 years in business, still discovering new applications every day.
Tracking missiles to Ghost hunting
Brain surgeries to finding roof leaks
Applications in every factory, on every farm, in every residence. In the near future, every electrician will have one in his toolbox.
Our main competitor using a proprietary format (is2). They need to take it from the camera, to a PC and export into a file that people can see.
