 Soccer is one of the
most popular sports in
the world
 It’s definitely a team
sport.
 Soccer can get very
physical sometimes so
if you don’t like getting
shoved or kicked, you
should pick something
else.

THE BASICS OF SOCCER:
 There are 4 main
positions in soccer:
goalie, defenders,
midfielders, and
forwards
 There are 4 types of
kicks: a goal kick,
corner kick, penalty
kick, and free kick
This is a normal 4-4-2 with 4
defenders, 4 midfielders, 2
forwards, and a goalie.

CORNER KICKS
 Corner kicks are
awarded when the ball
goes out of the
back of the end
zone(the blue line),
knocked out by the
defensive team.
 The ball is awarded to
the offensive team and
they get a free kick at
one of the corner flags

1. Place the
ball on the
ground and
make sure
it’s still

steps
back(3-4).
By taking 3
steps back
diagonally
you will get a
harder kick.
This is
because you
will also use
your hips to
gain more
power on the
kick.
