7. 1) Quick Parts
• Quick Parts is used as a solution to add
repeated words, paragraphs,
statements, images or logo’s into your
word document.
• Many people use Quick Parts for
signature blocks, headings, contracts,
and even short phrases or company
names that they use frequently
throughout their documents.
• The Quick Parts will save time on
typing.

8. 2) Crop a Picture to a Shape
When you crop to a specific shape, the picture is
automatically trimmed to fill the geometry of the
shape and the proportions of the picture are
maintained.
1. Select the picture or pictures that you
want to crop to a specific shape.
2. If you are cropping multiple pictures, you
must crop them to the same shape. To
crop to different shapes, crop the
pictures individually.
3. Click Picture Tools > Format, and in the
Size group, click the arrow under Crop.

9. 3) Find & Replace Text
1. On the Home tab, in the Editing group, choose Replace. Or press Ctrl+H on your
keyboard.
2. In the Find what box, type the text that you want to search for and replace.
3. In the Replace with box, type the replacement text.
4. Choose Find Next, and then do one of the following:
• To replace the highlighted text, click Replace.
• To replace all instances of the text in your document, click Replace All.
• To skip this instance of the text and proceed to the next instance, click Find Next.
Note: In Word Online, there is no Find Next button. Browse through the results by
using the up and own arrows to replace instances of highlighted text.

11. 4) Replace Styles & Formatting
Similar to the previous tip, you
can also use Word search and
replace features on styles and
other formatting.
To reach these extra parameters,
click th MORE >> button in the
dialog box.

12. 5) Remove all Manual Formatting
Sometimes you need to blow up the formatting
and start over.
Formatting can get disorganized and your
document can end up looking bad.
When this happens it’s probably best to start over
from the beginning.
To do this, select any bit of text you want to
remove the formatting from and click the button
as shown in the screenshot above.
