Following the natural disasters of 2008 the Governor of Iowa convened a task force to advice him and the General Assembly of issues critical to historic architecture and cultural history. I had the honor of being appointed to that task force and was able to comment during meetings on potential outcomes for flood proofing historic properties among other comments.
