As Chief Actuary for Baldwin and Lyons I worked closely with Ty on Claims practices and impacts on
company results. Ty’s door was always open and we took a collaborative approach to understanding
claims metrics and other company statistics.
Ty created a proactive, values driven culture within his department. I personally found Ty to be honest,
enthusiastic and open-minded. His efforts improved trust and teamwork between corporate functions.

innovative tools to improve speed and accuracy of reserve estimates.
