2. Hello, my name is Tyler Jones and I am from Central
Florida. I fell in love with playing sports at a very young
age, it has truly helped me grow into a disciplined human
being. The sport that I grew very fond of specifically, is
basketball. In order to be elite at this sport, you must learn
to be very strategic, mentally tough, and you need to have a
strong will to improve no matter the adversities. My brother
and I are two highly competitive individuals when it comes
to sports. We have versed one another countless times in
basketball, and in turn we drove each other to be better. I
ended up becoming obsessive about basketball. One day, I
came across a sports debate show called Skip and Shannon.
I began to follow this show religiously and then one day, I
realized what I would love to do day in and day out. I
wanted to become a sports analyst or box pro sports
commentator.

YouTube and Spotify will coincide with assisting me to get closer and
closer to becoming a box sports commentator or sports analyst.
• Primary Tools: Youtube, Spotify, Facebook, and instagram will help
promote my resume for future employers. I will be posting content almost
everyday starting in August

it to my future employers in hopes of impressing them enough to hire me
or I could start advertising for companies using my platforms

Mentor
• I will continue to ask Eric Rutledge to be my mentor so he can teach me what
little things really matter in the sportscasting world. He’s currently a
sportscasting professor who also works for ESPN and he’s been my mentor
for 2 months now. I’m very appreciative for it.
Formal Education
• Im currently in the process of earning my sportscasting bachelors
degree. I would love to earn my sportscasting master degree as
well.
Technical Skills
• My facial expressions on camera are exceptional right now, but I need to improve
on them even more so by next year, I can really impress my audience as a future
sportscaster. I plan to improve through my sportscasting live production course
• My broadcast script and writing skills are adept at the moment, but to actually have
hopes of being hired by any sports media industry, I need to improve a vast amount
by next year by completing my sportscasting project & portfolio: 2 course
• My Computer and internet skills are adept, but I need and should become an expert
in this field by the time I complete project & portfolio: 3 course
• By me continuing to improve everyday through my universities education system,
physical and mental training, and my mentors advise. I believe these teachings
make me more of a valuable asset to each and every business compared to my
competition.

design my business operation work schedule with
