This document summarizes information about the National Institute of Public Health of Mexico (INSP) which hosted the 1st Latin American and Caribbean global health conference as part of the 19th GHEC conference in Cuernavaca, Mexico from April 16-18, 2010. The INSP aims to promote social equity and population health through knowledge generation, health system innovation, and training public health professionals. It offers various masters and doctorate programs in public health and conducts research on priority health issues in Mexico.
