In celebrating the Annual Flying Labs Day, Zambia Flying labs
took drone technology as a way of inspiring and motivating
youths in our community. We celebrated Flying Labs Day
under the theme ''Drones for STEM Education for the Hearing-
Impaired''.
The activities that were carried out at this event included:
Career Talk 1: Engaging pupils in creative imagination and
interactive activities.
Science Made fun: Interactive video and graphic
presentation on science and History of aero-planes.
Career Talk 2: Interactive presentation on STEM careers in
Engineering, Science, Technology and innovation.
Science Made fun 3:Interactive lessons and flying of drones
Awarding of Certificates
We had 114 pupils in total. They all thanked Zambia Flying
Labs for exposing them to such Initiative. The school raised
concerns regarding the lack of support for STEM programs
in Higher learning institutions for the hearing-impaired and
other physically challenged youths.

Copperbelt Investment Expo
Zambia Flying Labs at Copperbelt
Investment Expo: The Provincial
Investment Expo is an annual event that
takes place in all provinces of Zambia.
This year's Copperbelt Investment Expo
was highly attended by numerous
companies showcasing different products
and services.
This event was officiated by the
Republican President of Zambia (H.E
Edgar C. Lungu). As Zambia Flying Labs,
we were present at this event to give a
presentation on Drones for the
development of Zambia. The expo took
place between the 24th and the 28th of
June. There were over 500 visitors during
the expo.
The main outcomes from our participation
at this event were as follows:
1. Interacted with the local special
education pupils who inspired Zambia
flying labs to organise a local event for
pupils with special needs.
2. Gave a presentation to the president of
Zambia on the use of drones.
3. Zambia Flying Labs was invited to give
a presentation on the use of drones for
local Councils under the department of
local government.
4. Potential Collaboration with Copperbelt
Energy Corporation (CEC) for solar power
plant inspection.
5. Got in contact with the Minister of
Transport who attended the launch event.

Other activities
Drone STEM education for Kids
from Kabwata SDA Church: To
stimulate interest in using drones
for science, technology,
engineering and mathematics, we
organized a demonstration and
presentation for kids from
Kabwata SDA church. The event
took place at the University of
Zambia, School of Engineering on
the 11th of August. 40 school
children attended our
demonstration and they were all
excited to have been part of this
program.
Presentation On Use of drone
for the development of Zambia:
A workshop about the use of
drones was organized by
government agencies between
the 25th and the 27th of
September in Copperbelt.
Zambia Flying Labs team was
invited to the workshop to create
drone awareness in government
ministries and present its activities
and projects. The workshop was
attended over 100 government
officials. The Ministry of Local
government suggested to involve
Zambia Flying Labs in training
and providing Consultancy
services in the future.
