At a minimum, collaborative team members perform more work together than they could accomplish separately. This was evidenced by the facilitation process of each of the team's working members. 2.4.4 Be attentive to the needs of the team and build trust. 3 4 When there is trust, people voluntarily step forward and work optimally, collaboratively, and efficiently. They adopt a common purpose, take risks, think creatively, help each other, and communicate openly and honestly. In this sense, having carried out teamwork for more than four weeks, trust between the members of all the groups was strengthened, even more so when feedback from one of them was given. 2.8.1 Ability to gain the trust of others and guide them towards a common goal. 3 4 People work optimally, collaboratively, and efficiently when they are trusted. They adopt a common purpose, take risks, think creatively, help each other, and communicate openly and honestly. Thus, it was possible to develop this skill during the execution of the group project, where team members trusted the person responsible for each facilitation. 2.8.2 Provide mechanisms that allow for rapid and effective team building. 3 4 It is essential to have mechanisms in place to accomplish the common goals and interests that have been planned so that all members know and understand their purpose and goals. In this sense, during the course duration, the necessary techniques and tools were learned to achieve the study's objectives. 2.8.3 Model behavior in effort to create and maintain a healthy work environment while leading authentically and with vulnerability. 2 4 A healthy work environment understands and values each individual's capabilities and skills, minimizing differences and difficulties between people and offering tools for promotion for the benefit of all. Thus, during the course, it was possible to learn about conflict resolution, which guides decision-making in the search for solutions to contradictions and confusion. 2.10.1 Ability to communicate and act with tact, and to ensure that the message is conveyed in an appropriate manner. 4 4 Team members should exchange information and feedback to know how they are doing and how they can improve. In this sense, during the course, it was possible to learn about techniques for improving communication and how to encourage the participation of others in a conversation. 2.10.2 Understand the non-verbal behavior of the person to recognize the subtleties of the message. 3 4 Non-verbal behavior understands precisely what you want to say without giving rise to misinterpretations and that they put all their attention on unimportant points. Therefore, during the course, it was possible to learn how to identify people's moods, their inclinations toward conflict resolution, and even how their cultural environment influences their way of being. Instructions: The specific competencies developed in this course have been listed below. Use the scale described below to provide an initial self rating. At the end of the course you will re-visit this and re-consider your ratings. Has your rating changed? If so, provide examples of what you have learned. 1.3 Inclusion, Diversity and Human Connections: develop and implement practices that create connection, collaboration and work culture that is healthy, inclusive and embraces diversity 2.4 Leading Projects: Organize work, manage your own and others’ time, establish priorities and structure tasks and efficiently within deadlines. 2.8 Leadership: Take initiative and action to achieve shared outcomes, as an individual or by inspiring others. 2.10 Relational Intelligence: Forge positive relationships, establish meaningful connection and interaction with people, and develop self-awareness in regard to the impact on others.
  2. 2. 2.10.3 Concentrate on listening and grasping the totality of the information shared. 3 4 Attentive listening helps both parties remain calm when dealing with a crisis or discussing a sensitive issue. Boosts confidence. Great listeners tend to have higher self-esteem and a better self-image as listening works toward establishing positive relationships. Therefore, during the course, it was possible to evidence the importance of how to convey information and ensure that it is interpreted correctly. 2.11.1 Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work collectively towards a common goal. 4 4 Collaboration at work is the cornerstone of building an excellent team. Collaborative teams work together to brainstorm new ideas, carry out ambitious projects, and accomplish their goals. At the very least, collaborative team members perform more working together than they could achieve separately, evident in the teamwork involved in developing each facilitation. 2.11.4 Motivate team members and ensure everyone has had their say when the situation requires it. 3 4 People are not machines; therefore, to function optimally in a company, more is needed for employees to have technical training. The moving part counts a lot; if people are unsatisfied with the company, they do not feel cared for and valued. The working environment could be better; they will not perform at one hundred percent so that business results will be negatively affected. During the course, it was possible to show how vital work motivation is and its direct influence on employee performance. 2.11.5 Promote the flow of information within the group. 3 4 Developing effective systems for a consistent flow of information helps put every company on the road to efficiency, consistency, high customer satisfaction, and high employee satisfaction. However, it all depends on the information flow's quality, quantity, and consistency. Therefore, in this course, it was demonstrated how vital the existence of communication channels is. 2.11.6 Ability to convey information and adapt to the target audience. 2 4 Communication skills are all the abilities that enable communication between people. This is a highly relevant element in the business environment since the effectiveness and success of the agreements or negotiations to be reached with others depend on it. Thus, during this course, it was possible to demonstrate the importance of developing communication skills to benefit the participation and understanding of each individual in the organization. 2.11.7 Ability to communicate in a group setting that enhances feedback of others. 2 4 To learn how team members are doing and where they may grow, the team should share information and comments. In this way, it was possible to learn during the course about methods for enhancing communication and how to urge other people to participate in a conversation. 2.11 Create and adapt clear messaging based on context and audiences, while arousing interest and enthusiasm through written visual and verbal media. Working collectively with others, inside and outside the organization, to achieve common goals and promoting the flow ofclear messaging and dialogue to create shared understanding.
