Repairing your mental health
Step one: What led to your ordeal
First step, it's important to
acknowledge the events that
brought you to the
distress situation you find yourself in
right now. Second, you need to
Identify the obstacles obstructing
your path from moving forward.
Thirdly, you need to create a
platform that includes a balanced
routine and is followed consistently.
Lastly, don’t get discouraged if you
don’t see immediate results,
remember overcoming adversity
takes time and patience.
Repairing your mental health
Step 2: Getting back on your feet starts with you
When people go through periods of
depression, medication becomes a reliable
source.
The fact is, the most effective way to
fight depression, transpires when you first
and foremost execute with using you inner
strength.
For example: Antibiotics are efficient in a
small percentage when fighting viruses;
majority comes from the immune system.
Explore potential options and separate the
ones which can benefit you now rather
than later.
No matter how many counselling sessions
you take, in the end your determination
and perseverance is what’s going to help
you slowly remove the barriers currently
obstructing your mental health.

Step 3: Start what you do inside the 24-hour clock
Did you know everything in between the
1st and the 24th hour of the clock, has
great significance in what kind of day or days
you have ahead?
When people don't sleep enough, they are
not only going to be tired and less productive,
but they are also going to be more receptive
to stress.
The same applies to nutrition and poor eating
habits. Everything we put into our body,
simply has mental health implications. While
good nutrition provides us with the essential
nutrients we require to function normally on
a daily basis.
Remember poor food choices can result into
health problems later on in life.
Stay on path by getting enough rest daily and
being discipline to good eating practices and
your health will thank you for it.

Step 4: Time & timely you need them both
One of the most fascinating things about our body
and how it works, is that it needs to be programed
in order to have a consistency mechanism.
It's not what time you go to bed, but rather how
consistent you are on daily basis when you decide to
call it a day.
It's important to ensure you have your meals at a
timely fashion, as it will help regulate your appetite
and ensure you always have sufficient energy.
Remember the word programming? When you look
after your body & mind, good things are likely to
result such as a clean bill of health.
Taking time for yourself by being physically and
socially active, is a must and will help you achieve
self meaning and happiness you so much require.
For example, if you would schedule your social
activities in periods of the day where you are most
stressful, you more likely have fewer down
moments. Remember, it's both important when and
how you are using your time.

Step 5: Fix your lack of sleep & reduce anxiety
Repairing your mental health
Shut off your electronics: It is common for
people to watch a movie, check their email
and play with their cell phone before
bedtime. Remember your body already has
a lot of energy, via your electrolytes and
the more you are around electricity the
more difficult it will be for you to fall
asleep.
We know milk has protein which is helpful
in maintaining serotonin in our brain. A
warm cup of milk before sleep can also
relax your neurotransmitters and help you
get to sleep a lot faster.
Check your room temperature and set it
according to your comfort zone.
Is your mattress to hard or soft, or the
bedding material make you itchy and
irritated? These are questions you need to
check off.

Step 6: Keep it simple
Everything we do during the course of a day, has
a bearing of significance, particularly if it is part
of our everyday inclusion.
Getting up, showering, having your breakfast,
getting dressed and going to work and returning
home is your basics and something you probably
do every single day. While other things like
taking the dog for a walk, putting out the
garbage, doing banking and going grocery
shopping, are considered your secondaries.
Don’t overwhelm yourself with activities of less
importance in which you can put off for another
day.
Spending quality time together with family and
friends, has to always be in the priority list.
Remember those who spend the most time with
you, are the ones who know and understand you
better and can be supportive when you most
need them.

While other things like taking the dog for a walk, putting out the garbage, doing banking and going grocery shopping, are considered your secondaries. Don’t overwhelm yourself with activities of less importance in which you can put off for another day. Spending quality time together with family and friends, has to always be in the priority list. Remember those who spend the most time with you, are the ones who know and understand you better and can be supportive when you most need them.
